Thank you for visiting my shop on eBay. This is not a profession for me, but a hobby. I've been buying magazines ever since I received my first wage at 16 years old. My very first purchase was a copy of Classic & Sportscar; and I still have that very magazine to this day. From the off I was hooked and ever since then have been buying magazines like mad. Now almost 30 years later I have perhaps 7,000 in my collection. Even with selling around 100 a month on eBay my collection grows and grows and grows! 

On eBay I only sell out of print "oldtimer" transport magazines; Cars, motorbikes, whatever really - if it has an engine, I'll eventually get a magazine for it. I don't bulk buy stock to trade, so please do not offer me your collections!

Before eBay came along I used to just stock-pile them all over the house. For me a magazine is not a luxury buy, but a valuable source of information, so I tend to keep hold of them. Much of the information contained within them cannot be found anywhere else, so even today they can be a valuable reference material. Quite a few go to journalists preparing other magazine articles or books. Personally I love looking back at a different time and place. However, my house is of a finite size and 7,000 odd magazines takes up a similar volume of space to that of a Mini. Something has to go, so I'm selecting magazines at random and putting a few on now and then.

My magazines are all in as read condition. I'll not sell anything that has missing pages or is falling apart. Please bear in mind the age of some of these publications though, as this has a bearing on condition. My Flight magazines, for instance, were war-time publications made using the cheapest of materials. They are tatty and battered, but they were made like that!! Same goes for my Practical Motorist or Car Mechanics; they too can be 40 years old, so a bit age worn. A bit like me then?

One question that I am always asked is: do I combine postage? Yes! Generally for UK buyers I'll bundle up 3 magazines at a single rate. European and Worldwide buyers I only ever charge the actual postage - I'll not add in anything for packaging. Note that I'll never scrimp on packaging; even at a discounted rate my magazines still go out double-wrapped.
