Who are you ?
Hi, my name is David and i started selling on eBay when i was made redundant from full time work in 2006, (luckily) my previous job in IT development was outsourced to India. Finding myself with the opportunity to make some changes to the way my life was heading at that time, i decided to have a go at running a business. Why not put the same effort i applied in employment, into something i truly believed in. My two daughters (5 & 6 months) and Wife also thought that it was time for a change..

Having always been an eBay user (since 2002) and always having the desire to set up a business i started selling a few items online, i get the opportunity to spend time with my family and like to think that i give a good service and sell a range of products that demonstrate quality, good prices and reliability. My Feedback gives you a good idea of what i achieve, a great place to see what our customers think, and before you do (or if you have already) I always trade fairly despite what a few rogue eBay buyers have said. I could say lots of things good and bad about feedback, in some cases i love it, in others in how potentially damaging some comments can be. I see that UKeT is a Powerseller whats that then?
A Powerseller on eBay is someone who has been assessed by Ebay. Every month, eBay calculates member sales data and identifies those who are eligible to be invited to the PowerSeller programme. To qualify, members must: Uphold the eBay community values, including honesty, timeliness and mutual respect, Comply with all eBay listing and marketplace policies Achieve an overall Feedback rating of 15'000, of which 99.% or more is positive. In October 2009 to January 2010 eBay are changin the Poweseller rating and have decided to introduce an eBay Top Seller which I are hopeful to achieve.. To achieve this you need to receive the best DSR ratings you can, ths this is the 5 STAR dsr you can leave when leaving feedback.. If you think I did a good job and there arent any issues, then * * * * * will do nicely you lovely customers! :O) i know its cheaky, but if you dont ask i wont get em, your stars really do count and mean a lot to me.. If you do have problems though, then stop reading this waffle i've crafted and please get in touch with me now. Remember that a Powerseller does not mean im a massive retailer, im just one bloke in Manchester with a family, i am never far away, but do still like a weekend and maybe a holiday every now and again..


What postal services do you offer.?
I do use Royal Mail, so at the moment I can offer 1st class, recorded and Special Delivery. I also post Royal Mail Airsure for overseas. I despatch items daily, All Items are usually posted the same day if payment is received before 1.00pm (weekend purchases will be dispatched on Monday am or Tuesday if its a UK Bank Holiday). If you require a guaranteed special delivery or recorded delivery please specify this on checkout if available. I track and trace recorded, special and airsure for all items posted.

If you do have an urgent requirement please select special delivery on the checkout and let me know.. Also be aware that whilst i try my hardest to get things out to you as fast as i can, i do rely on our postal services provider to get things to you on time, there are lots of factors that I need to rely on for things to go smoothly.

Okay I've seen something i want, how can i pay ?
Find the listing you wanted and go to the checkout select your preferred option  - Payment can be made using: Pay pal, Credit card (Via pay pal - account not needed select the I'm new to paypal link and enter details), Personal Cheque (GBP) or Postal Order. Paypal payment is our preferred and quickest method. Personal cheques must clear before goods will be dispatched. please make payable to UKET Limited .

I cannot accept credit card details by email/telephone, although if you visit our uket website I accept all credit and debit cards in a secure system powered by Worldpay & Paypal is also available.

Are you Vat registered?
Yes, all purchases will have a packing invoice sent out with them for your records and all prices include VAT.

Can I buy in bulk ?
Yes, if you see a product you like either on ebay, or on our website. Please get in touch, i am more than happy to supply other businesses and individuals.


I'm not far from Manchester can i come and collect?
Unfortunately I cannot provide this service at I are not insured for it. Sorry about that, but it keeps our prices low .. I post items fast & I aim to please. :O)

What is your returns policy?

All our products are subject to one year manufacturer's warranty If you would like to return goods that you bought via eBay please ensure that the item is returned with our returns form (download it below). All orders placed are subject to your rights of cancellation pursuant to the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

You may exercise this right either by mailing me via eBay, In each case you must return your item with the uket returns form so i can figure out who sent it to me and why..

Following receipt of your item and form I will contact you to process your return. Please note that the cost of sending the goods back to us where you wish to cancel for reasons which are not due to product performance or description will be payable by you. P&P charges will not be refunded save for in circumstances where the goods are deemed to have been defective I will also refund your additional postal costs if any..

What if i don't pay?

We have a fully automated system that manages the purchasing of items on eBay and this includes payment reminders, so you will hear from us if no payment is received. If I don't receive a payment in 10 days, I do invoke ebay's official automated payment reminder. Non paying buyers might get an unpaid item strike if I hear nothing at all as its all automated, eBay rules apply to buyers too. If there is a genuine problem, then I can get involved and ensure that no strike is given in special circumstances.

It is all about communication though and fairness on both sides. The main reason for us is that for every item I do or don't sell ebay takes a percentage. So if someone doesn't pay I lose out, the official ebay reminders will ensure that I get our listing refund and the agreement made between buyer and seller is completed satisfactorily and fairly.

Feedback.
There are a lot of changes with feedback on ebay, i am not totally convinced they are all fair, but it is as near as you can get for us all to see who you want to buy from.. I work very hard at trying to keep everyone happy, at times it is very hard and is just not possible sometimes for whatever reason, there is always a cause (and the cause is not always down to me).. I have dealt with some wonderful people whilst i have been selling on ebay and i hope that my feedback represents my efforts well, i aim to keep my DSR (Detailed Seller Ratings) as high as possible. I promptly leave positive feedback for you as soon as you pay.

I would always ask any buyer to contact me via the ebay messaging system, if they do have a concern about the transaction, if they are thinking of a low DSR score positive feedback, a neutral or a negative comment, this is only fair to give me the opportunity to sort it out, it is hard to sort out if you leave it before you let me know.. Please remember that your comments do effect my business both negatively and positively, i work alone so i generally act quickly and deal with you directly..
