Our Mission:

We aim to offer extreme value for money and excellent customer service with our ebay shop.

All our stock is 100% brand new unless stated otherwise and we are UK BASED with all our stock held for IMMEDIATE DISPATCH FROM THE UK.

Help us to help you – we are seasoned professionals within our industry and we actually do care that our customers get good service.

On the rare occasion something goes wrong please don’t be worried – simply contact us and we WILL do our best to help you if possible – this is how our feedback status has arisen.

Opening hours and contact:

We are happy to answer any questions you might have either by email to sales@thompsonsltd.co.uk or by ebay message.

For delivery enquiries please call 01625 425033 and ask for the ebay dept.

We are open from 8.30am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday. On Saturday the store is physically open from 9am until 5pm for in store purchase but we regret that the ebay dept is not staffed.

Shop Collections:

We are happy to allow you to purchase in store any item you see on our website or ebay listings. We regret that we are unable to allow you to collect items actually already purchased online (either on ebay or on the website) from the store.

If you buy online it must be posted to your address as a mail order service and will be subject to the terms and conditions set out below this is unfortunately paypals rules for payment insurance.

If you want to BUY your item from our store at the internet price please print out the item you are interested in and present it at the counter. You will not be charged any postage fees for shop collections, obviously.

For shop purchases the standard shop Returns Policy applies and is available to read at the tills. Please ask for a copy of this if you are unsure and would like clarification before you travel.

 OUR SERVICE ADHERES STRICTLY TO THE POLICY SET OUT HERE - THIS ALLOWS US TO OFFER THE PRICES WE DO. THANKYOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION

Faulty goods must be returned to us at your expense. This is similar to purchasing an item from a store where the store would not pay your train fee or petrol bill to get back to return the item.

We will repair or replace faulty goods at manufacturers discretion. Abuse or misuse is not covered by warranty. Unless stated our warranty is 12 months. Please email for a faulty goods returns form before sending faulty goods back. A charge may be made if items are found not to be faulty. Please ask for more details if required.

We will accept unwanted goods returned to us in unused condition within 14 days of purchase. Please notify us within 7 days of purchase that you wish to cancel so that we can approve the cancellation. This note gives you a further 7 days to send back your item. The goods must be accompanied by some proof of purchase and appropriate notes. Please DO NOT return an item to us with no documentation on the strength of an email conversation we may have had. We deal with a lot of customers and it's not possible to remember every individual case.

Please note that if you are sending unwanted goods back they must be in a resalable condition otherwise they will not be accepted as unused. Resaleable is defined as the same condition that you received them in. If you have torn the packaging, damaged the box or ripped any sealed bags or attempted to install the item it is very unlikely that we would be able to resend the item out as brand new. To summarise simply answer this question: 'Would I have been happy to receive this item bearing in mind it is advertised as a BRAND NEW product?'

We regret that we cannot issue refunds for used goods (ie as soon as you try to install the item you forfeit your right to cancel). Please note that Thompsons Ltd will, under NO circumstances, issue a refund for an item that has not yet been returned to us.

Please note that no shipping charges will be refunded since the shipping is a separate, perishable service paid for in addition to the goods.

Please print out and keep your ebay purchase details. In the event of having to make a warranty claim you will need to be able to prove that you bought the item from us and ebay does not keep sale details indefinately. If you require a VAT receipt with your purchase please let us know and we can send it to you with your item or email it to you.

FAQ & DELIVERY INFORMATION:

 

IS YOUR STOCK COMPUTER LINKED TO THE EBAY QUANTITY AVAILABLE?

NO!  - This is an issue for all ebayers! We do our best to make sure that we have everything in stock that we list - but occasionally we get caught out when the numbers in stock drop to low levels or when a stock item such as a loom, fascia or speaker adaptor set that we carry experiences heavy demand.

 

We are always fair in these situations and will offer a full refund or an upgrade if the expected time of stock arrival is not satisfactory.

 

WHICH COURIER DO YOU USE?

In most instances we use DPD but from time to time we can also use Parcelforce or the Royal Mail. If choice of courier is an issue for you please let us know and we can discuss the possibilities.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I HAVE BOUGHT 2 OR MORE DIFFERENT ITEMS AND HAVE NEGOTIATED A DIFFERENT SHIPPING DEAL WITH YOU, OR ARE NOT UK BASED?

Most of our items are 'immediate payment only' - this means you won't be able to put things in your 'basket' and then checkout at the end. If you want to buy many/multiple items there may  (Depending on weight) be the possibility of a partial shipping refund. Please ask if you think this will apply to you and we will be happy to check shipping cost and refund any money due.

 

WHAT DO I DO IF I WANT TO CHANGE MY DELIVERY ADDRESS?

You must add your correct delivery address to your paypal account BEFORE purchase so that we can send the item to the paypal specified address. We regret that no exceptions to this can be made. If you have paid already and still want to change your address we will refund the payment to allow you to make the necessary alterations. Obviously once the item has been shipped this is not possible!

 

IS IT IMPORTANT TO GET MY DELIVERY ADDRESS RIGHT?

It is crucial that you spell your address correctly and include your postcode accurately, because our system will take your text directly and import it into our dispatch system. Any errors can cause delays or even situations where a parcel needs to be rebooked at YOUR cost! Please double check your typing!

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY PARCEL GETS LOST?

We recommend using our courier service which is fully insured and we can provide replacement goods as soon as an unfortunate loss is confirmed. (Not a common occurance but it has happened). THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE WITH ROYAL MAIL.

 

PLEASE NOTE ROYAL MAIL DELIVERIES ARE NOT TRACKABLE – IF YOUR ITEM IS LOST WE WILL REQUIRE A SIGNED DECLARATION THAT YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED YOUR GOODS SO THAT WE CAN ISSUE A REFUND AND PROCESS A CLAIM WITH ROYAL MAIL.

 

WHAT DO I DO IF IT GOES WRONG?

OUR COURIERS ARE GREAT BUT NOBODY'S PERFECT! IF FOR ANY REASON YOUR PARCEL DOES NOT APPEAR AS YOU EXPECTED THE KEY IS TO CONTACT US IMMEDIATELY

 

REMEMBER, WE CAN'T HELP IF WE DON'T KNOW THERE IS A PROBLEM!

 

WILL MY PARCEL DELIVERED AT WEEKEND?

NONE OF OUR COURIERS (EXCEPT ROYAL MAIL) DELIVER ON A SATURDAY OR A SUNDAY OR A BANK HOLIDAY.

We work REALLY hard at our internet support but things CAN go wrong from time to time even if everyone does thier best. I always find that if buyer and seller communicate well then almost anything can be fixed. The worst cases of unhappiness on both sides happen when nobody talks. Remember we are only a call or an email away.
