Terms and Conditions of sale
1. General Terms and Conditions
(a) All goods supplied by Tek
Computers are warranted free from defects for 12 months from the
date of supply (unless otherwise stated). This warranty does not
affect your statutory rights as a consumer. The goods are at your
risk from the time of delivery.
(b) Should any products carry a manufacturers extended warranty
period, it is the sole responsibility of the buyer to liaise
directly with the manufacturer of the product for full details of
the warranty agreement should it be found to be faulty.
(c) All products advertised are subject to availability.
(d) Tek Computers
give no assurance as to the mutual compatibility of
components sold on any single invoice & does not accept
returns for incompatible products, it is the buyers responsibility to check compatibility of any product purchased from us.
(e) All Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may
or may not represent the actual product sold.
(f) Tek Computers remains the full owner of all goods shipped to
the buyer until the Tek Computers has been paid in full.
(g) Good sold by Tek Computers are not sold on a trial basis.
(h) All purchase with "Buy it now" must be received within 7
working days
(i) Tek Computers does not accept responsibility for the loss of
any software or data stored on any system or storage media handed
to Tek Computers for inspection, repair, upgrade or other.
(j) Tek Computers does not accept responsibility for any failures
to the buyers components within its possession , unless these
have been damaged by Tek Computers.
(k) Tek Computers accepts the responsibility of incorrectly
dispatched goods (i.e goods not matching the specification
displayed on the accompanying invoice) if notified to, and agreed
by, Tek Computers within 7 working days of receipt. Tek Computers
agrees to pay the dispatch charges of the correct goods. Tek
Computers does not accept any consequential loss to the consumer
during this period and offers no compensation for such.
(l) Tek Computers aims to dispatch all items within 1 to 5
working days of auction ending.
2. Paypal Payments
We do accept Paypal payments, but they subject to the following
terms and conditions:-
(a) If you live in the UK and if payment is Under
£20.00 excluding VAT, We will accept payments from Un-Verified and
Verified Paypal Accounts.
(b) If you live in the
UK then we will accept payments from Verified Paypal accounts up to
£100.00 ex VAT. If your account is Un-Verified and the payment is
over £20.00 including VAT, then we will ask you to pay by Nochex
www.nochex.com which we can accept credit/debit cards, there is no
need to register an account with them.
(c) If Payment/s is/are over £100 ex
vat & the paypal address is unconfirmed, we may request
proof of ID.
(d) In certain instances, if you provide proof of ID by the way
of a Utility bill, Passport or drivers Licence faxed to us on
44(0)870 490 2134 or emailed to us sales@tekcomputersuk.com we
can then accept payment from an un-verified Paypal accounts.
(e) If you live outside the UK and your account is Verified we
will despatch your item within 3-5 working Days. If you are
outside the UK, we will only accept payment from a Verified
Paypal member, if your account isn't Verified, then you will be
asked for a alternate, method of payment.
We can accept other payment methods including:-
Credit / Debit card Payments
Bank Transfer
Postal Orders
(f) If we receive a payment by Paypal, we will only despatch to
the "Delivery Information Address" stated by Paypal, No
Exceptions. This is to protect you.
(g) We reserve the right to reject any Paypal payment for any
reason
3. Other Payments
(a) We do accept payment by cheque, but we do have to allow a 5-7
working day, clearance period with our bank - No Exceptions.
(b) If payment is made by cheque, if the cheque is returned to us
as "BOUNCED" or UN-CLEARED" during the clearance period (which
can take up to 30days), we reserve the right to pass on any bank
charges incurred by us, to which is payable by the buyer.
(c) If any payment is returned to the buyer for any reason, after
the buyer is in receipt of goods, Tek Computers reserves the right to use a
debt collection agency, to collect any un-cleared funds, for
payment in full, this applies to any payment method
including:-
Paypal
Credit and Debit Card Payments
Postal Orders
Bank Transfer
(d) Any fees incurred by Tek Computers, for collection of un-paid funds to Tek Computers will be passed to the buyer, this includes, Agency fees, court fees,
Solicitors fees, carriage fees, including any other expenses incurred by Tek Computers
(e) If payment is made by Bank transfer or directly into our
account, we reserve the right to delay despatch of goods until
payment has been defined as cleared by us.
4. Delivery
(a) When receiving deliveries by courier, you will be asked to
sign for the as "Goods received in good condition". If you are
unable to check the contents of the package at time of delivery,
please sign for the parcel as "UNCHECKED". Failure to do so will
invalidate any warranty claims that you make thereafter.
(b) If you deliberately fail to take delivery of the goods
(otherwise than by reason of circumstances under control of Tek
Computers) then without prejudice to any other right or remedy
available to Tek Computers, Tek Computers may:-
(i) Store the goods until actual delivery and charge you for
reasonable costs (including insurance) of storage;
(ii) Sell the goods and (after deducting all reasonable
storage and selling expenses) account to you for any excess over
the price you agreed to pay for the goods or charge you
for any shortfall below the price you agreed to pay for the
goods.
(c) Should any item be returned to Tek Computers, due to an
incorrect address being given by the buyer, the buyer will be
responsible for paying an return carriage fees due, before any
item/s are re-despatched. Tek Computers, take no responsibility
for an incorrect address being given by the buyer.
(d) For Courier deliveries, if an order is transit and the buyer
requests re-direction of their order, this will only be
authorised by Tek Computers, a re-direction fee will apply, this
fee must be paid in full, before Tek Computers are able to re-direct any
orders in transit.
(e) For Courier deliveries, they will attempt delivery twice, on
two consecutive working days, after which, a further delivery
charge of £4.50 + VAT would apply, alternatively the buyer
would have to collect the order from their local courier
depot.
(f) If after 5 Working day the order has not been collected from
the local courier depot, the order will be returned,
automatically to Tek Computers. The full shipping cost would be
charged for re-despatch, plus a charge of £6.00 + VAT.
(g) If the item is despatched by Royal Mail 1st or 2nd class (including recorded) We are unable to claim for loss until after 15 working days from the item/s being despatched
We can only replace the item or refund after 15 working days. If the item/s has still not arrived after this time - You will be required to comminicate with any questions required by Royal mail - PLEASE NOTE THAT WORKING DAYS DO NOT INCLUDE WEEKENDS - Mon - Fri only
5. Returns
(a) All returns must be paid for by the customer
(b) Faulty products are to be returned at the buyers expense, via
an insured courier, Tek Computers does not accept any
responsibility for any loss for un-insured returns.
(c) Tek Computers do not operate an advance replacement
procedure.
(d) Tek Computers accepts no responsibility for any consequential
loss caused to the buyer for the receiving of faulty goods.
Faulty goods received shall be dealt with as outlined below.
(e) Tek Computers cannot accept any returned goods found to fall
into one or more of the following categories:
The goods are in some way physically
damaged by the buyer
The warranty/serial label is found to
have been tampered with or torn.
The goods are found not to have been sold
to the customer by Tek Computers.
The goods are outside the warranty limit.
The goods do not have a corresponding RMA
number displayed clearly on the item(s).
The goods returned to Tek Computers, that
have inadequate packaging will be returned to the buyer at the
buyers cost.
The RMA Form has not been completed in full or returned with
the item(s).
(f) Before returning the items, please do the following:
Ensure you have included everything the
item(s) came with (e.g. manuals, driver disks, cables etc.)
Package the items securely
Write the RMA no. clearly on the outside
of the packaging. DO NOT write it on the box/packaging the product
came in.
We recommend that you send the items back with a service that
records the delivery and gets a signature from us upon
delivery
(g) Testing your Item(s) - When we receive returned item/s we
will test them as quickly as possible. We endeavour to test and
resolve all returned items within a maximum of 30 days; however
our usual turn around time is within a week. If your items are
tested as faulty we will do the following:-
If the item(s) are discontinued, we will
offer a replacement of equal or better specification, or a refund
representing the current value of the item at our discretion.
If the item(s) is/are found to be working, we will return
them to you. A return carriage fee will apply and there may be a
testing fee of £8.51 + VAT.
(h) Unwanted goods - You have the right to cancel the contract at
any time up to the end of 7 working days, after you receive the
goods. The goods must have been kept in perfect condition and no
seals broken. Should the item not be fit for re-sale (in original
New condition, un-used and un-opened), including computer
software which has been unsealed by the buyer, or for consumable
goods of which you may not return the goods, unless the goods are
faulty.
(i) A 20% restocking fee may apply to returned goods (N.B. This "does
not" apply to faulty goods)
(j) TFT LCD monitors Most manufacturers generally will only
replace monitors with more than 3 dead pixels, any monitors with less than 3
dead pixels are not classified as a fault & is not covered by the warranty.
Pixels that are lit white or black are dead pixels, Pixels that are lit red,
green or blue are called lazy pixels that can be fixed, please use the following
software to fix this type of defect

warranty that is given by the manufacturer at the time of sale, but we accept no responsibility if
the manufacturer should they decide to change there warranty terms & conditions. We do not accept returns of monitor as this is dealt by the manufacturer directly unless otherwise stated.
(k) An RMA number must be obtained before any item is sent back
to Tek Computers. To return a product, please email Tek Computers

6. Collections
(a) We are a mail order company only, we do not allow
collections.
Tek Computers reserves the right to change these conditions of
sale without notice to you, in relation to future sales
