Primary interest: Graphic Design with the Stitch Crafts in Mind. I'm a graphics and knitwear designer who has an addictive interest in all crafts. Since 1993 I have been involved with machine knitting, having City & Guilds qualifications in that subject together with the mandatory design module. I have hand knitted since being taught as a child, and in early adulthood became skilled in crochet and embroidery also, taught mainly by a very dear lady, my mother. She entranced me by her ability to transform lengths of yarn into amazing items, both practical and ornamental. She was particularly clever with a paint brush and did similar miraculous things with associated products and especially with yarn. I learned a great deal from her, but most treasured of all, she left me an inheritance of appreciation for crafted items. She also passed on genes which gifted me with being able to draw and paint. I've coupled this with other skills I've acquired including knowledge associated with yarns and their manipulation. Because I use this love and my knowledge in a variety of expressions, I chose the business name of Frandor Formats. This indicates that what I offer is products in various formats. Available for Machine Knits, Hand Knits, Crochet & Cross Stitch My products include mylar sheet templates for electronic knitting machines and punchcards templates for punchcard knitting machines. Also Charts for embroidery and cross stitch. I produce garment and craft item patterns in hand &machine knitting, crochet and sewing formats. I also produce disks in DesignaKnit, System 9000, FB100, PCX, & Cut formats, and the HueDraw Designer program.
