Sylvester’s is a family run business, that has been trading in the heart of Oxford for over thirty five years. We have a small shop selling products ranging from upmarket quirky gifts to furniture and home furnishing items, infact a real mixture, which is what our customers say they love about the shop!
We were finding that using UK suppliers for furniture was quite expensive and did not give us the control over availability that we need, so decided to import some items directly from abroad.

A couple of years ago we discovered eBay and decided to use it to reach a wider customer base. The initial idea was to sell things that wouldn’t sell in the shop but we later discovered that eBay could be a major part of our business. Many of our products are now sourced direct from the Far East which means that we can keep our prices down. Some items are actually exclusive to us (which makes us feel really special)!

We pride ourselves on customer service, and want customers to know that they are dealing with a reputable and reliable company. We welcome visitors to either our shop or warehouse, and are happy to answer questions over the phone or via email.
