Papercraft Show

Having been stamping for several years I made the progression into the design and manufacture of rubber stamps.

My life has revolved around art as both my parents had art and musical backgrounds.My father was a master painter, sign writer and accomplished pianist. My mother was a dressmaker with a fabulous singing voice.

I also received input and encouragement from my grandmothers who were both excellent cooks and skilled needlewomen.

Senior school in Burnley also played a part in the learning process. I was fortunate enough to enjoy needlework, art lessons and  separate craft lessons. Through the craft lessons we learned pottery, basket weaving, papier mache, collage and making my first stamp. This stamp was made by gluing a thick piece of rough string into a design on a piece of wood. We stamped with paint onto fabric and paper with awesome results. I have had cards and other items published in Craft Stamper, Simply Stamping, Making Cards and the first issue of Legacy.

A year ago we started to press our own rubber stamps and Stampattack Art Stamps was born. I also have a studio and hold regular workshops. Many of the recent stamp designs have been designed by myself using our own collection of vintage material including family photographs. We will be releasing many more over the next year.

We also exhibit regularly at Rubber stamping and Papercraft shows. We invite personal callers strictly by appointment due to my mothers failing health. Check my web site for further details
