Southern. Athletic. Canine. Society
Welcome to the new home of the Southern Athletic Canine Society run by Lee Drury of Southern Staffords. Agility, Advice, Training and more. The best place on the net for dog lovers. We are here to help we deal with all dogs but especially bullbreeds ie: Staffordshire bull terriers, Irish's, English bulls, Bulldogges and more. Our forum has many members, who have over 30 years in experience, so whether its advice, help, or athletics your after, youve come to the right place. Lure racing, weight pulling, long jump, health issues, food conditioning, plus much more. I hope you enjoy the new look and feel its taken some hours of work. Please activly take part in the site and help to lift it to the top where it belongs. Why not attend one of our days in Margate Kent.
We are a small family from Margate, Kent. We own 2 Sbt's, which we absolutley adore. We do athletic training with them to keep them and us in good shape. We sometimes hold training days, were we do w/pull and a-frame work. If you would like to have a look, please contact us. We will be more than willing to help you and your dog out. I have been interested in bull breeds for around 13 years. Since then I have collected over 50 books and 35 dvd and videos. I am still adding to this. My first book was Strattons world of the APBT. This book had me spellbound I had never seen dogs that could climb trees or pull weights this got me hooked. That little bully bug sure got me! I prefer the athletic olde tyme staff / irish over some of the K.C. staffords which look like they are going the same way as the Bulldogs ( please no) .Short muzzle, will this lead to breathing probs later? I hope not. With the recent attacks on people, alot of bull breed owners are being unfairly critised over the actions of another person's dog which I find very annoying. ANY dog in the wrong hands can be very dangerous. We must stand together on this or innocent dogs, family pets will be and have already started to be taken
