Our intellectual property rights, which include all trade names, trademarks, service marks, logos and copyrights associated with SonicDrive-In restaurants, embody the goodwill and reputation we have developed in the marketplace, and are valuable and important assets of our business. All Sonic trademarks and copyrights are protected by federal and state law.
Unauthorized Use of Sonic Intellectual Property
Trademark laws require that a trademark owner prevent unauthorized or potentially confusing use of its trademarks. This is to ensure that customers are not confused and to prevent disparagement of a trademark owner name and reputation. We take infringement seriously. Accordingly, we carefully monitor and diligently protect our intellectual property. You may not use or copy our intellectual property (including our logos and trademarks) without our written consent.
Unauthorized Sonic Coupons and Images
Sonic coupons are void if copied, redistributed on the Internet, sold or auctioned. You may not make, sell or redeem scanned images or photocopies of our coupons or other copyrighted material. However, we occasionally offer coupons on our Web site that you may download and print for use under such terms as are provided.
Sonic Membership in eBay VeRO Program
To further protect our intellectual property, we are a member of eBay Verified Rights Owner (eRO program. We monitor eBay auctions, and where we find any unauthorized use or infringement of our intellectual property, the offending auction is terminated under eBay VeRO program. If the auction is cancelled by us, the notice will provide our contact information. Additionally, the sale of stolen property is strictly forbidden on eBay and violates state, federal and international law. The Buyer assumes the risk on all items purchased through eBay.
