A bit about SerendipityWishList

SerendipityWishList is a two way street. I am always on the look out for items to add to my collection and you are most probably looking for items to add to your hobby or collection.

I am now selling my vast excess of music/TV/film/celebrities collection and thousands of items will featured for sale. I only have one of each item therefore don't miss out on a fantastic peice of rare history with all sorts of memorabilia. Some of my items will date from mid 1970's but most from 1980's to current date and where I can I will give issue date if known. Adverts, clippings and features are from UK publications such as Smash Hits, Melody Maker, NME, Just 17, Look-In, celeb and womens magazines through to national newspapers are all featured so keep checking back or just message me with any question or enquiry. I would love the items to go to people who genuinely want them to add to their hobbies and collections, where I know they will always be looked after and appreciated.

Having carried out research with various contacts and sources to hand, all item prices are based on the condition, (many items are brand new with some still sealed) collectability/rarity, with many items now deleted and difficult to find. Most memorabilia such as posters, vinyl, features, articles and clippings packs are in excellent to A1 condition and have been carefully stored away. All starting prices for auctions or Buy It Now prices are the minimum price I will accept for the item, so with auctions by all means bid at the last minute.

Please be aware that my items are being sold privately, advertised for sale elsewhere as well as ebay and once sold will be removed from my listings. All my sales are on a first come first served basis. I am selling my items this way as I don't want to be collectiing my pension in 25 years time and still be selling them ebay! It is time consuming and expensive with ebay so I am using all selling resources possible. By the way items will only be listed twice on ebay and then remain on other lists until sold. So if you've missed bidding for an item please e-mail me, it just may not have been sold .... yet.

I have over 500 groups/artists in my music archive, over 200 films/actors/actress' in my archive and over 100 titles on TV/comedy/celebs archive. That runs into thousands of items in total all looking for good homes and collectors and that could be you!!

Its just too long a list to type here, but from ABBA to ZZ Top will give you a good idea of the vast selection available and even the obscure.

I sometimes sell items on behalf of family and friends. Some of the items very collectable. However their goodies are held by me once they go up for auction/sale and sent out by me too. As with all my auctions I try and describe items as acurately as possible with 3 people (including the owner) deciding and agreeing on the condition of the item. (This is because the item is not mine and is being sold on behalf of the original owner.) See under sales information on grading the items. Please note that with these items cheque or postal order will only be accepted as payment.

Please note:

• If you have zero feedback please e-mail first before bidding.
• All prices are in £pound sterling
• Please read descriptions of items carefully before buying.(See below for grading of items.) This avoids any mistakes or misunderstandings later. If anything is not clear to you please e-mail me with your questions so I can clarify things for you before you make any final decision.
• With Postage & Packing prices, you pay what I pay, after all, both you and I want your item to arrive safely into your hands.(See below on postage and packing pricing as a rough guide.)
• Orders are sent out once a week on Saturday morning. (See dispatch section for more details.)
• Any claims for damage or loss of items have to be reported to Royal Mail for compensation claims. If an item is sent registered or recorded mail then compensation is covered for the item value for loss or part payment for damage (as per Royal Mail Guidelines). If it is a certificate of posting then compensation decisions are at the discretion of Royal Mail. Confimation has to be received from Royal Mail before the matter can be resolved satisfactorially.
• Don't miss out on the opportunity! If you are watching my items please don't forget to bid. I only have one of each item, once it's sold it's gone forever from my listings.

I am a private seller and cannot cover loss or damage of items UNLESS you accept Sign For Recorded Delivery of which all UK orders are sent, or for people living outside the UK International Registered Mail/Airsure which covers items up to £34.00. Any orders over that figure you are offered Registered Next Day Delivery if you live in the UK and International Sign For/Airsure and insurance if you live outside the UK. A loss or damage claim is placed with Royal Mail and they then pay the compensation for this because it is covered by Recorded Delivery, Registered Next Day Delivery, International Registered Mail/Airsure and Insurance that has been paid. You pay that little extra for peace of mind, safe delivery and I know you've received your order because you have signed for it so the transaction goes smoothly. Once Royal Mail pay compensation, I then refund you for your item.

Any orders not sent by Recorded Delivery, Registered Next Day Delivery, International Registered Mail/Airsure and Insurance, I always obtain a certificate of proof of posting which only covers up to £34.00 maximum. However any orders sent with just a certificate of proof of posting obtained and the order is lost or damaged, I still fill out the forms and put in a claim for compensation with Royal Mail. There is no guarantee from Royal Mail on this method of posting and it can take several weeks to be resolved by them as they have to so their own investigations. Royal Mail don't always pay out compensation on these claims and if they don't then I cannot refund you or replace the item. If Royal Mail do refund a claim then of course it is passed on to the buyer and you get your refund because Royal Mail have agreed to compensate/refund for the claim.

Sales Information

I hope the following answer any questions you have on sales conditions, payments and dispatch. Unfortunately I am now finding some eBayers bid for my items and not pay for them or they have broken the sales/auction agreement when they have won an item. One or two have been argumentative and want to pay for items with methods not accepted due to security reasons and a couple have been rude and abusive and that is not what ebay is about. So I have written this page in the hope this will clarify matters with no misundersatndings, especially as in the descriptions of the items I am selling I do refer to my ME page for further information.

Grading of items:

• New. = means new item.
• A1. = Almost in as new condition. Not used. Sometimes in original packing but opened.
• Excellent. = Minor wear and has some minor use and with posters may have minor/faint creasing.
• Very Good Condition. = Has been used on a regular basis. Shows wear and some marks on item. Zips and catches still work. Bag straps and clips still work (no fraying etc). With bags and clothing items they will have been cleaned to best of ability and as with storage items will be clean inside. Will show aging of item. Any items with a design on will still have the design visible and no peeling.
• Good Condtion. = Heavily used on a regular basis. Shows a lot of wear, marks, stains, some fraying. Zips and clips may be chipped and stick. Could have small cuts or tears, thread pulls and peeling design. Some creasing with item. With bags and clothing items will have been cleaned to best of ability. Will definately show aging.
• Fair. = Still collectable but very well worn. Heavy marks, stains, large cuts or tears, heavy creasing, discolouration due to aging. Design faded or damaged. Item no longer works and may show cracks or splits. Zips and clips broken, bad fraying and thread pulls.

Postage and Packing Pricing.

Remember you pay what I pay. In the UK orders are sent:

• Large letter rate which is maximum 353mm in length, 250mm in width and 25mm thickness OR
• Packet rate which is more than 353mm in length, 250mm in width and 25mm thickness.

Europe and the Rest of the World orders are sent Air Mail small packet rate.

I use photograph hard back envelopes, bubble jiffy envelopes packets, poster tubes, and boxes for packing purposes. I also use additional bubble wrap, cardboard and parcel wrapping paper where necessary for packing as well as parcel tape to seal items. As I live in a village I get all my packing items from the local shop and a pricing guide is below.

• A4 size hard back envelope - 0.99p each. - Used for photographs, news and magazines articles, features, clippings, adverts, single and double sized posters, fold out posters/magazines and magazines.
• A3 size hard back envelope - £1.69p each. - Used for large news and magazines articles, features, adverts, A3 size posters and pictures, large fold out posters/magazines and large magazines and newspaper specials.
• Poster Tubes - Small (takes A3 size posters) = 0.89p each. Medium (takes A2 size posters) = £1.29 each. Large (A1 wall posters) = £1.59 each.
• Boxes provided by the Post Office depending on size start from 0.99p up to £2.99 each. - Used for large and bulky orders
• Jiffy bubblewrap envelope size 0 (14cm x 19cm) - for small items such as badges, keyrings etc - 0.39p each
• Jiffy bubblewrap envelope size 1 (17cm x 24cm) - for items such as postcards, single CD's, DVD's and small books etc. - 0.49p each
• Jiffy bubblewrap envelope size 2 (20cm x 24cm) - for items such as DVD's, videos, CD's books etc. - 0.69p each
• Jiffy bubblewrap envelope size 3 (20cm x 31cm) - for items such as medium books, several DVD's, Videos, CD's, singles and other medium size items etc - 0.89p each
• Jiffy bubblewrap envelope size 4 (23cm x 32cm) - for items such as books, multiple DVD's, videos, CD's, singles, A4 booklets, t-shirts, baseball caps etc - 0.99p each
• Jiffy bubblewrap envelope size 5 (25cm x 34cm) - for items such as magazines, newspapers, clippings/feature packs, books, t-shirts, baseball caps medium sized items etc. - £1.19 each
• Jiffy bubblewrap envelope size 6 (29cm x 42cm) - for items such as catalogues, oversized books, t-shirts, baseball caps, clothes and other large items etc. - £1.49 each
• Jiffy bubblewrap envelope size 7 (34cm x 44cm) - for items such as trainers, clothes, A3 sized items and other extra large items etc. - £1.79 each
  

Bidding, Winning & Payment.

• If bidding/buying more than one item on my lists please let me know.  Combined postage & packing is available to save money! After bidding has closed I can then issue you with an invoice to take into account all you winning items.
• You are bidding for the item as described and what you see in the picture, although my photography skills do not do the item justice, so please excuse my attempts. I do try to take a good enough photo, it's  just sometimes they don't come out that clear, but at least it gives you a view of the item you are bidding on. If you want to see additional photos of the item please let me know and I can e-mail a further jpeg to you.
• All items sold as seen. Being a private seller I have a no return policy.
• With most of my auctions ending at the weekend, invoices are issued on Monday's. If you live outside the UK please wait for this invoice sent as it will clearly state Airmail small packet rates for Europe and the Rest Of The World and will avoid any confusion.
• Winners must make contact with me within three (3) days of their invoice being sent to them confirming how they will be making payment
• For UK customers you can make payment by personal cheque, postal order, bankers draft, girobank cheque, which is preferred, cash in £pound sterling is by arrangement only (ie: on collection). PayPal is available as a payment option but is restricted to £50 maximum (Sorry, this is due to others inappropriate behaviour and misuse of this service)
• For customers living outside the UK you can make payment by bankers draft (£ sterling), girobank cheque (£ sterling) is preferred, cash in £pound sterling is by arrangement only (ie: on collection). Please e-mail me about this option. PayPal is available as a payment option but is restricted to £50 maximum (Sorry, this is due to others inappropriate behaviour and misuse of this service)
• Please note that UK cheques are 7 working days to clear. 
• I DO NOT accept bank transfer, e-cheques, Money Orders, Western Union etc
• All winning bids must be paid for within seven (7) days of the auction closing. (Winners living outside the UK who are not making payment via PayPal but by other payment methods do get an extra 7 days to get payment to me by prior arrangement.) Please e-mail me if there is a delay. I don't bite and am a very reasonable person. As long as we communicate we'll be fine.
• Payment not received by the end of the 7th day will be reported to eBay as non payment.
• Serious bids only. If you're a time waster or can't pay then please don't bid, you'll only be left negative feedback.

Postage & Packing.

• All orders are securely packed and more, exceeding Royal Mail Guidelines.
• All Airmail packages are sent with a Certificate Of Proof Of Posting. Please note that International Registered Mail is an optional addition that is offered in your invoice, it is up to you whether you take up the offer. If the item is of value then I would advise to add International Registered Mail for safety & peace of mind.
• If  you live outside the UK and your win is over £34.00 then insurance is available as an option to cover any loss or damage. It is also advisable to send International Registered Mail so your package is signed for. Again an optional extra.
• All UK packages are sent First Class Recorded Sign For Delivery. With items totalling over £34.00 you will be given the option of  Special Sign For Delivery, it is up to you whether you take up this option. If you do then please let me know and await the revised invoice for the new postage and packing fee.
• Once your item/order is posted and leaves my hands it is then the  mailing services responsibility to deliver to the destination stated on the package - your address. I do my upmost to pack items securely and ensure where I can that items are traceable with recorded (which I always use for UK items) or registered mail which are options on offer to you. It is your choice as to whether you take up these options. I am not responsible for any delays, damage or loss of items once they leave my hands.

Dispatch/Sending out orders.

• All orders are sent out on Saturday morning following clearance of payment  for the item won.  (Payment must be cleared by 6pm Friday night to qualify for Saturday dispatch).  However. If there is special occassion such as Christmas, Birthday, Anniversary and you want the item to get to the intended person by a particular date please let me know. I will do my best to get it there in time.
• The 'Get It Fast' next day option only applies if you pay for 'Special Delivery Sign For' (Registered) anywhere in the UK. Otherwise Saturday dispatch still applies on orders. 
• At Christmas time I always mention recommended last posting dates but continue posting items up until the last UK posting date generally around 20th/21st/22nd December. I then take a 'holiday break' and posting of winning items recommences from 3rd January onwards. I also take a one week 'holiday break' during Easter. Any other holiday breaks will be notified in my listings.
• Once your order is posted you will receive an e-mail from me confirming dispatch but please advise me of your current e-mail address. (On occasions in the past an e-mail address has been invalid and therefore the dispatch notification has not reached the customer.) Please read it carefully as it states clearly times allowed for delivery and any traceable recorded or registered reference numbers for your peace of mind if this service has been selected.
• In the event of an item going missing/damaged a Royal Mail search/compensation will be requested. Please note that I am not responsible for any loss or damage to items. Any compensation request is at the discrection of the mailing services unless it is sent by recorded mail, registered mail or covered by insurance, in which case I have to await the claim to be settled by Royal Mail, which should reach a quick and satisfactory conclusion for all. You will be kept informed of the search and the decision reached by Royal Mail.

If you fail to see through the eBay sales agreement:

• Any winning bids not paid for within stated time, unless contact has been made previously, - will be reported to eBay dispute counsel.
• If the matter remains unresolved the item will be offered to the next bidder or be put back on sale and you will be left negative feedback. Unfortunately I have to do this as I have had a number of time wasters in the past and from now on time wasters will be left negative feedback. 
• Serious bids only. If you're a time waster or can't pay then please don't bid.

After sales care & feedback.

• You will be notified by e-mail when your order has been dispatched. (See Dispatch/Sending out orders above.)
• If there is a problem with delivery or your win/order please e-mail me with details so the matter can be resolved. I will get back to you and reply.
• With all transactions if you are a buyer I leave feedback after you have left feedback for me
• If you are a seller I have bought from then I leave feedback once I have received the item.
• Please don't forget to leave feedback for me. It is a two way street and the only way I know that your order/win has arrived safely in your hands.
