My Mythical Beads

   Thank you for taking an interest in my work and in lampwork beads in general. My name is Rob Johnson and I have been a full time lampwork bead maker for over a year now, making a wide variety of beads including, unique bead sets, focal beads, encased, mythical and hollow beads.

   I work here in the open flat lands of the Cambridgeshire Fens and I am completely self-taught, enjoying the long journey of learning and the new skills that I acquire on the way. I enjoy the challenge of commission work and find it very satisfying when I manage to help a customer turn their bead ideas into reality.

   I sell my beads in my ebay shop "Beads Of Glass" and from my website. I'm also a regular seller at a lot of the Bead Fairs held around the country.

   I really enjoy playing with colour combinations and designs and I'm like most bead makers in that I hope one day to make that perfect set of beads. I spend around eight hours a day working at my torch, but I can honestly say I never get bored with working with glass.

   Bead making has been a large part of my life these past few years, growing into something far more than just the hobby it was. My family also now enjoy the craft of bead making and I have made so many great friends through my beads, a lot of who are  fantastic jewellery makers and I thank them for showing off some of my beads in their outstanding work.

   I hope you enjoy looking at my beads and maybe one day you may even wish to use my beads in your own jewellery.
