"Road racing imitates life, the way it would be without the corruptive influence of civilisation. When you see an enemy lying on the ground, what's your first reaction? To help him to his feet? In road racing you kick him to death"
Tim Krabbe - 'The Rider'
WHO ARE CONVICTS OF THE ROAD?
We are a company run by cyclists for cyclists. For us, cycling isn't just a sport; its a way of life.
It is our aim to sell the passion and fashion of cycling to our customers.
We genuinely love the sport just like our customers do. We ride hard, train hard and race hard just like our customers do.
We don't need to rely on Wikipedia to tell you about the history and legends of the sport. We know our Campagnolos from our Campagnolas.
WHAT DO WE SELL?
We sell the best and most sought after cycling apparel and accessories available.
Our range includes authentic vintage jerseys from the 60's, 70's 80's and 90's. Some jerseys are from amateur teams that you may never have heard of. Some will be iconic. All are part of the rich tapestry of suffering, dedication and heroism that creates this fantastic sport.
Each jersey will have a fantastic story to tell. Our aim is to tell you that story.
We also sell the latest modern cycling jerseys, perfect for hammering out the training miles or your daily commute along with the finest in urban cycling fashion for out on the bike or out on the town
WHERE DO WE GET OUR STOCK FROM?
We scour the world for the jerseys that we sell.
We aim to leave no stone unturned. We have developed an extensive network of contacts through our involvement with cycling in many different nations.
Our vintage stock is sourced from continental europe, the hotbed of professional bike racing. Our urban fashion items are sourced from small independent manufacturers worldwide. Our components are sourced from the best manufacturers in Italy and Japan.
WHERE ARE WE BASED?
We are based in South London, a stones throw from the famous Herne Hill Velodrome. We are a web based company and you can join in our community at www.puncheur.com
OUR INSPIRATION?
"Cycling isn't a game, it's a sport. Tough, hard and unpitying and it requires great sacrifices. One plays football, or tennis, or hockey. One doesn't play at cycling"
Jean de Gribaldy |
