A bit about me and my new business

My husband has recently bought his brothers fishing tackle shop ( Tackle-X-Change, Lowestoft ) and has a lot less time to deal with the internet side of the business so I have bought it from him and am now self employed for the first time in my life.

I have spent over 16 years in the national health service working mainly in Lowestoft hospital but have stopped work for the last 4 years to look after our young son.

I also enjoyed going fishing with my husband Richard before our son was born and I would nightfish for bream during the summer ( my best was 6.5lbs ) and fishing off the beach during the winter for whiting, dab and codling ( my best was codling 4.5lbs ) but I no longer have time to fish at the moment.

I was given casting lessons by a local instructor for 6 months and went to a Zziplex sponsored casting open day and had 2 casts with the longest cast at 158 yrds, and I only stand 5'3" tall but I was given lessons how to backcast with a 14' long rod which helped a lot. I really love fishing, but it will have to go on the backburner until our son can go fishing.

 		 

I will be running this business from 1/9/2005 and will keep up the very high level of customer service, packageing  and fast posting that my husband has done for over the last 2 years and he will still be servicing reels and checking out any used items that I have before they are put on Ebay.

He will also answer any email questions about fishing tackle i have for sale.
