Why the name Paper Cup?

No I do not sell Paper Cups...Bizarre name but memorable. The shop name actually originates from one of my greatest passions - music. It's from a song called, 'The Otherside' by Red Hot Chili Peppers. I went through loads of names to do with surf, beaches etc but they were either way too naff or already taken. I wanted something which wouldn't be forgotten in a hurry and well here we are...

The History of Paper Cup

Back in 1994 I discovered Ebay. As with most I was a buyer looking for a bargain. I bought my first few items and was thrilled with the money I had saved. However I then bought an item which frankly was not what I expected. Disappointed at the waste of money, my husband advised I resell the item. So I did and to my surprise it actaully sold for more than I had actaully bought it for! Well you can imagine the cogs slowly started to turn. I started by selling my unused clothes etc and earning a little bit of pocket money which of course was spent immediately on other goodies on Ebay.

I then decided to go that bit further and bought my first bulk sale (3 Roxy belts to be exact) which I sold at a profit. I was lucky that the supplier was and still is the nicest person ever and is my main supplier to this day. I gradually went from there though of course it wasn't as easy as at first anticipated. Registering as a business was terrifying and don't even get me started on my first negative feedback! Occasionally I have days when I wonder why I bother but to just read some of the lovely feedback I've received from all my terrific buyers makes it all worthwhile....
