Bluebells, Wirral Country Park at Eastham

Hi, I'm Peter, my wife is Judith. We are rather book mad. We started out with the intention of thinning out our large collection of books. And indeed once made a bit of space. However we have really enjoyed selling our books and it's nice to see them go to good homes. It's lovely to get feed back from buyers about why the books are special to them. Books are our passion and now selling them is too. So that we can carry on with our new hobby we need to buy books to sell, so we have now set up Wyrale Books at 100 Green Lane, Great Sutton, Ellesmere Port , Cheshire, CH66 4LF  as a small business. We do hope you enjoy browsing through our store.

Why 'Wyrale Books?' Well, in the ancient poem 'Sir Gawain and the Green Knight', (written about 600 AD) the Wirral Peninsula (where we live) was given a mention.

 "At length he (Sir Gawain) drew nigh to North Wales and left the Isle of Anglsey on his left hand, crossing over the fords by the foreland over at Holyhead, 'til he came into the 'Wyldrenesse of Wyrale,' where but few dwell who love God and man of true heart." 

A bit scathing, but we've come along way in the last 1400 years.

So, we add new listings to the shop on a more or regular basis. We try and appeal to a wide range of book readers and book collectors, so if you want to find that 'something different' before anyone else spots it, visit us regularly. We describe the items as accurately as we can, and you can always buy from us with confidence (have a look at our feedback). If by some mischance you are disappointed with anything, then let us know as soon as possible, and we're' sure we can sort things out. I( for instance if you return the item up to fourteen days after purchase we will  give you a full refund. We want you to be pleased with everything you buy.
