Our used English saddlery has been carefully checked over and lovingly restored where necessary; saddles (unless in extremely good condition) have the panels removed, the tree inspected thoroughly, repairs as necessary done, and are treated to lavish amounts of leather oil and soap until they are in the sort of condition that we would want to use ourselves.
(By the way, 'miscellany' means anything else we come across about which we know enough to sell! It frequently includes computer bits, buckles, nesting wool (which was originally intended for wild birds, we have since observed that nesting squirrels love it too!), and electronic keyboard tuition books.)
