Pathway Workshop is a registered charity for productive employment and training for disadvantaged adults between 16 and 80, with both physical disabilities and those with learning impairment. Pathway Workshop seeks to improve the job prospects of people with disabilities, and those who may be disadvantaged in today's labour market.
The Workshop provides practical experience and the opportunity to learn new skills in woodworking and machining. Individuals are able to progress at their own pace, thus achieving their maximum potential. Training courses are recognised by Oxfordshire Open College Network in Preparation for Practical Work and Basic Woodworking Skills.

A fair day’s work for a fair day’s pay… isn’t this something we have all come to expect out of life? For people with a physical disability, a learning difficulty or a mental health issue, though, finding paid employment too often fails. For many, despite a very real will to work and to contribute to society, they face a life sentence of collecting benefits.
At Pathway Workshop, we are committed to providing training and paid employment to as many disadvantaged individuals as we can. |
They work hard recycling waste wood in a fully equipped mill workshop making high quality garden furniture and animal habitats - and they receive a fair wage in return.
Following individually tailored training programmes and with careful and supportive counselling, staff may progress to the mainline job market. If not, Pathway Workshop can guarantee that their lives, confidence and self-esteem will be hugely improved. They will quite rightly form part of our valued working society.

Products, Designs & Bespoke With hand-made products it is only right that there should be individual designs.
 |
All our products are designed in-house with, where appropriate, the approval of the official body concerned (The Hawk & Owl Trust, RSPB etc). |
 |
Over 450 Tons of high quality softwood re-cycled timber is processed every year which is used to make the wide variety of products you see on offer. |
Pathway Workshop are well equipped for the production of a full range of wooden garden and wildlife items, currently supplied to many of the garden centres throughout the county and direct to the public.
The workshop prides itself on being environmentally friendly, an achievement that has been recognised by several awards during the past few years. |

Funding, Donations and Sponsorship To run an operation of this type, of course, costs money. Every penny made through the sales of our products feeds directly back into the salaries and benefits of those with disabilities. Pathway Workshop is a non-profit making operation that aims to achieve a balance between the demands needed to run a commercial operation and our charity’s ethical ethos. The more products we sell, the more disadvantaged people we can help. It’s as simple as that!
We continue to receive donations and sponsorship. Without these, it would be difficult to keep our workers with disabilities in meaningful employment. While we keep the running costs to a minimum, inflation continues making the task of seeking donations and fundraising more demanding.
Here at Pathway we are truly grateful to all of our supporters, who have helped Pathway to survive. Every donation we receive does make a difference to this small charity.
If you feel you would like to help we, as a registered charity, would welcome your participation in many different ways. To offer assistance please contact us for our “On the Pathway to Full Employment” leaflet and our combined “Order, Information & Sponsorship” form. If you’re not sure, please contact us anyway. We’d love to hear from you …. and give you the opportunity to help give someone a real opportunity in life
