Back to previous page  Welcome To Material Things Material Things have been suppliers of handmade custom built soft furnishings for 25 years and is one of the largest family owned upholstery workshops in the Country. Not surprisingly we have a reputation for friendly and helpful service with customers coming back for re-upholstery of their old suite time after time. Our customers enjoy the opportunity of choosing their own combination of fabric, colours and style from the massive range on display in the relaxed atmosphere of our factory showroom as well as in their own home. As well as top brand fabrics like Sanderson, Anna French, Niche, Jab, William Morris prints, Romo, Kirkby House, Malabar, Monkwell and John Wilman, we have over 200 Italian Leathers and suede too. Smother yourself in luxury. Material Things hand make every piece of furniture in our unique range, with the utmost care and highest attention to detail. All fabric is hand pattern matched, then manufactured by one of our master craftsmen in our own on-site workshops (one of the largest in Hampshire). Everything can be made bespoke, so every detail you want to add to your own handmade suite can be done. A little deeper, a little shallower, a bit higher or lower, or maybe just slightly wider to fit that bay window? Softer or firmer cushions can be chosen from our array of different fillings (over 8 different types!). Then match your suite up with your own selection of piping, cording, ruching or simply add armcaps or scatter cushions to add effect.
