Where did it all begin
I started out collecting coins as a kid is the 1960's and I started on the pennies and then worked my way onto halfpennies and so on. The when I got into my teenage years and I discovered pubs, discos and girls and the coins got put in the loft.
There they stayed for donkey years until I got into my fifties and I was off work long term sick and one day I discovered on Ebay that they sold coins and having looked through things that were for sale I thought I have some of those in the loft. So I sorted out some of the doubles that I had and I started to set out to sell them.
Then came the creating an account and a user name something catchy, my son said well our surname is Webb and theres only one of you why not call yourself Onewebby.
Where are we now
So here we are 5 years on, I sold the first few doubles and a few more, bought some along the way, I retired from my full time job having done enough time to retire and now I am selling coins on Ebay most of the time. Whats even better is that my wife now gives me a hand with all the admin and post leaving me to concentrate on the coins, great no paperwork or accounts.
We also have our own web site where we sell a similar range of coins to that on Ebay, they are a different set of coins. The shop is as you guessed called Onewebby and can be located at
www.onewebby.com
Its a very simple proces to register for an account and they buy coins the same as Ebay and pay for them with Paypal.
Where are we going
Hopefully we can continue to develop the Ebay and web site shops to be able to offer a greater selection of coins in each year giving a range of grade of coins from the cheapest up to uncirculated. Develop our customer relations that can enhance the level of service by increasing the speed and safety of delivery to the customer.
One final note if you ever have any questions on coins please don't hesitate to contact me. Remember we all had to start out somewhere I spent hours in a coin shop in Southend picking the poor blokes brain and looking at all his coins.
Thanks for taking the time to read my about me page.
Best wishes
Dave Webb
