ONLINE AUCTION ENFORCEMENT

If you are a seller accessing this page, your auction has most likely been ended by eBay because of action taken by Net Enforcers Inc on behalf of one of our clients. Net Enforcers is an active member of the VERO program.  Vero is the channel by which eBay works with copyright and trademark owners to protect the copyrights and trademarks used without authorization.

Common Reasons Why Your Auction was ended:

1. Item Description and Picture Theft

eBay members are not allowed to use another eBay user's or copyrighted pictures or descriptions in their listings. Users must use their own images and descriptions when selling items on Ebay. Listings that violate eBay's Picture and Description Theft policy may be removed early. Multiple violations of this policy can result in suspension.

The following examples are not allowed on eBay:

    1.    The seller copies a substantial amount of another's description or from the product manufacturers website and pastes it into a listing.
    2.    A seller takes someone else's picture and includes it in a listing since it looks very similar to the item the seller is offering.
    3.    The seller copies pictures and/or text from another copyrighted website or rights owner.

2. Manufacturer Warranty Claims

eBay members are not allowed to make invalid claims concerning a manufacturers warranty with an item sold. If your item was ended, it is likely that the manufacturer does not offer warranty or support for unauthorized retail sales.  Usually only authorized dealers are able to offer a manufacturer warranty, and this is a benefit of becoming an authorized dealer and a benefit to consumers for buying from authorized dealers.  Your listing can not misrepresent or infer that a manufacturerswarranty exists for the item sold unless you are authorized to sell this item with a warranty. If the item is sold by a consumer, please check if your warranty is transferable to another owner before you repost your listing. Listings that violate eBay's misrepresentation policy may be removed early. Multiple violations of this policy can result in suspension.

3. Unauthorized Manufacturer Dealer Representation

eBay members are not allowed to misrepresent that they are an authorized dealer of a manufacturer or similarly falsely associate themselves with with a manufacturer.  Listings that violate eBay's misrepresentation policy may be removed early. Multiple violations of this policy can result in suspension.

4. Selling Software

All software and accompanying documentation made by manufacturers is copyrighted work. Software and documentation ownership is retained by the copyright and trademark owners, not by the consumer. When you purchase software that is not custom-built just for you, you do not obtain ownership of such software; rather, you receive a license to use the software and documentation. The use of any such software or documentation is subject to the terms of the license agreement. Most software manufacturers require you to read the license agreement that accompanies each product and agree to the terms prior to installing or using the product. The reselling of software after being used may be considered a violation of the license agreement of that software. Net Enforcers recommends reading your software license agreement carefully before conducting any resale of your software..

If you have still have a question or concern about a particular auction that has been terminated, please email Violations@NetEnforcers.com and be sure to include the auction ID and any pertinent information about your listing. If you are an authorized dealer or have been given permission to use a manufacturer material by the manufacturer or your distributor, include contact information of the party that has authorized you so that we can confirm your status quickly.  If your auction was ended because of the violation of the above listed reasons, you may not receive a reply.  Additionally, due to the large volume of questions we receive,  it may take up to 14 days to receive a reply. Net Enforcers can not provide specific advice or recommendations for listing your items in accordance with copyright and trademark rules nor can Net Enforcers review future listings for compliance.
