About Yummy Mummies Corner
Yummy mummy laid bare
Let’s start from the beginning. In 2003 that’s 4 years ago I opened an eBay account after my husband told me a friend told him about it. I used the name “Mummys2boys” because I have two sons. I wasn’t excited about that because I am the type of person who loves to sign up to things on the computer. I was fascinated by the idea of selling my unwanted stuff as my years of hording was taking over. My husband was happy to sell concord and Guinness collectables. He did well with those and we still sell some today. A friend gave us some costume jewellery which I also sold. Thing were beginning to look interesting now. I bought some jewellery myself and started from there. At the same time I was satisfying my passion for shopping buying things that took my fancy and dealing with my disapproving husband.
The turning point.
Time past three years to be exact and I treated this as a nice little hobby for selling things I didn’t want and buying things I liked but didn’t need. It then transpired that my work place was about to close and I would be out of work. I had to think of some way of making some money to survive. After being badgered by my husband to have an eBay business I decided to have a go. We opened an eBay shop. Being the confident person I am and thinking that I am in the know and can be out there with the best of them, I called the shop” Yummy Mummies Corner”. I didn’t have anything in particular to sell so I just sold anything I can get my hands on. I remember one of my sons telling me I had a brick- a -brack shop (cheeky).
A friend who also have an eBay shop and is doing very well suggested we sell beads which can be stitched or glued on to fabric. We went with that. We have since added quite a number of different beads to the stock and we are hoping that this will be our way out.
