I always send out exactly what is promised to you in the listing, & I will ensure it is presented attractively & packed very securely (i.e.. Capable of withstanding Royal Mail Rugby Scrum!) It will then be sent via a method which offers you PROOF that I actually posted it when I say I did & that Royal Mail are accountable if they fail to deliver or if Royal Mail damage the item!
To hopefully avoid any issue arising on the Five Star Feedback System please note if you are not going to be "5 star happy" to pay the clearly stated P&P for HIGH QUALITY, BRAND NEW, EXTERNAL POSTAGE MATERIALS & THE INTERNAL GIFT PACKING etc & the RECORDED DELIVERY FEE, then you may prefer to shop with other sellers, who are ok to offer lesser postal options. I honestly & openly state it up front, so I think it unfair if people then complain after the event!

1) Posting Time 5x Weekdays but not Weekends. I clearly state that I post every day Monday to Friday inclusive. I do not have any Royal Mail collections here on Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holidays though. (It is unfair to mark the dispatch time as 'slow', when the payment is received on a Friday night & I post the item first thing on the Monday morning (or Tuesday morning of a Bank Holiday Weekend)
2) Payments & Cheques All listings CLEARLY state the item will be sent when 'Payment is Cleared' (even Ebay stipulate sellers should NOT send item until "cleared" payment is received & if they do, sellers are not covered!) I bank all cheques within ONE WORKING DAY of receipt via post. I then strictly adhere to the 'handling time' stated in the listings and post the item out within that agreed time STARTING FROM THE EXACT SAME DAY THE CHEQUE CLEARS. (It is unfair to mark the dispatch time as 'slow', when in fact I have done exactly as stated by me & as instructed by Ebay!)
3) Postage and Packing. My P&P costs are TOTALLY FAIR & FULLY JUSTIFIED if you would please care to add up the Packing & Royal Mail costs etc.......
Under P&P 'heading', I have to pay out....
The cost of the actual stamps value PLUS the cost of Recorded Delivery Fees to Royal Mail.
The cost of all essential packing materials including Brand New Postal Boxes (large variety of sizes), Sellotape, Packing Tape, Fragile Tape, Bubble Wrap, Tissue Paper, Cellophane, Packaging Peanuts, Jiffy Bags and Brown Parcel Paper. P rinter Ink and Printer Paper & Sheets of Printer Labels (each order you place, needs your address label, your order details printing, a thank you slip) The cost of actually doing the posting (I have to drive to the Post Office, as I am in RURAL DEVON & I do NOT have a post office on the doorstep). PLUS sundries for gift packing such as gift tags, ribbon, bows, cellowrap & foiletti...)
As well as the cost of the Brand New items themself, I have to pay the cost of all Ebay fees, (Ebay charge me for the actual listing, each photograph, final value fee charged by Ebay on every item once sold). The cost of Paypal fees, (they charge fees on all money received as payments from buyers).
Please feel free to check my postage quote next to other sellers similar items, but remember to note the service used i.e. I will be sending only via FIRST CLASS RECORDED DELIVERY & they normally don't so there is immediately a 75p Royal Mail fee for the more secure & quicker service!)
I hope you will agree, that it seems so unfair to penalise me for actually having given you exactly what I promised you upfront!
I will reduce postage for you, on the invoice I issue & reduce by each of the additional recorded fees & on savings of additional packing boxes etc.
