MAP POLICIES
----Effective January 1st, 2004, the minimum advertised price is established at NO lower than 15% below "blue" jobber price. This price applies to ALL types of consumer advertising. ----DO NOT confuse advertised price with selling price. Selling price is your discretion and your right to sell at whatever price you deem necessary. ----Cash back offers with an amount DO violate the agreement. The statement ash backwith no indication of what the amount saved is, will be allowed. It requires the customer to make contact with you to get details. ----Auctions without any indication of the price or minimum threshold price are ok as long as the reserve price is not below the MAP price level. ----Free product offers are ok as long as it does not show a price or a part number and requires the customer to contact you for additional details. ----Auto responders are ok if the price shown is not below the MAP price level. ----It is a violation if I can go on line and without contacting you get any price that is below the MAP guidelines including free goods; cash back offers, auctions, etc. |
