Tee Up Golf

It was started by me (Alan Lord) following several months of successful trading as an individual on eBay. Tee Up Golf is owned and operated our limited company: H & A Lord Ltd. Incorporated in the UK on the 30th August 2002, Registered Company Number 04522490. This is a bona-fide business, unlike many on eBay, we pay all relevant taxes and comply with trading standards requirements. We are VAT registered; our VAT registration number is: GB 869211605

To date (October '06) Tee Up Golf has sold approx 1800 clubs (singles and sets) and golfing accessories and has 100% positive feedback. We try very hard to ensure:

• Swift delivery,
• value for money,
• accurate and honest descriptions of goods,
• that questions are answered promptly and truthfully.

All items are inspected and packed in our warehouse and generally shipping happens within one working day of purchase or sooner; most orders placed and paid for before midday (weekdays) are shipped the same day. We ship Monday to Friday inclusive.

The Future

Our plan is to continue to grow the golf equipment business and to expand into additional sporting areas, perhaps fishing and mountain biking. We are currently looking for wholesalers/manufacturers to support these growth ambitions...

UK Shipping

For most of the mainland UK the price we list is our contract price plus a small amount to cover packaging, time and administration costs.

For shipments to certain parts of the Highlands & Islands, Northern Ireland, and other offshore locations, ParcelForce charge us a surcharge for their 24hr and 48hr deliveries. There are also certain remote areas of the UK mainland that, although are not surcharged, will take an extra day for delivery. See the picture and table below for details. For lower value items and the outlying/offshore regions it is sometimes more cost effective to use Royal Mail's Standard Parcel Service (this generally takes around 3 days. Insurance cover is extra and there is no signature on receipt possible). Please ask for a price if this seems more suitable.

Please note that as far as ParcelForce are concerned, the Channel Islands are NOT part of the UK. We have to use an international service for this destination. See below.

International Shipping

We can and do ship worldwide. For most European destinations, we have a contract with ParcelForce for their Euro 48 service. This service aims to deliver to most major European cities within 48 hours. Outlying and rural areas may take a day or two longer. This service is very cost effective for high value and heavier items such as club sets and wedges or putters etc... For less expensive or very light weight items, ParcelForce's International Standard service (a non time-guaranteed service which is obtained direct from Post Offices) sometimes offers a more cost effective solution, although this service can be quite slow (up to a couple of weeks).

* This pricing is on a "per box" basis. If additional items require us to ship multiple boxes then additional costs are involved. Please contact us if in any doubt.

The services above insure the contents up to 50 as standard. If any extra cover is required, there is a 0 additional charge for up to 00.

We are often asked about the price for our international shipments and why we don't use Royal Mail's Airmail or similar service. The size of the box used to ship Golf Equipment (our boxes measure 120cm long x 10cm x 12cm) is much longer than any of the Royal Mail services will allow, therefore they will not take our packages. For smaller items we can and do use these services when and where possible.
