I have been creating my "Family Tree" since I was in my teens, being very interested in the my Grandmother's family who came from Banff in Scotland. I don't know why but I married into another Scottish family - must be fate.
As a consequence I have spent the last 20 years of my life as a serious "Ancestor Hunter". This lead to my searching for maps, books, postcards, CD's, magazines on Genealogy.
I opened my ebay shop to help other "Ancestor Hunters" find their "Roots", through selling items I had sourced in my search.
It is much easier today than when I first started, I once spent the whole week of my holiday in the Edinburgh National Archives much to my husbands dismay. But I had a great time and found so much information on my relatives in Scotland.
In the last year the expansion of items in my shop has been something that arose out of family illness; in that I have started to provide head scarves for people who have lost their hair mainly through illness - it is not until you start to look for items in the high street shops that you need that you sometimes realise the how difficult it is to obtain them, particularly when you may not feel well enough to spend hours going from shop to shop.
