BUY WITH CONFIDENCE
BUY WITH CONFIDENCE
Hi, and thank you for taking the time to read this page.
I started trading on Ebay like most other folk, to clear
unused and forgotten items, turning them into cash to spend on more useful
stuff. Yes a fair bit of that money goes back through Ebay on items I never
knew I needed!!
Twenty odd years ago I worked for the largest bike dealer in
Bristol selling clothing and accessories and rode a Kawasaki KH250, now I
ride an Aprilia Pegaso Cube and I am keen to share information on problems
etc, I collect Metzeler (motorcycle) tyre merchandise, the company logo is a
blue elephant.
I focus pretty much on motorcycle memorabilia, pictures,
magazines, road tests etc from the 1960's to the present day, with an
emphasis on the 70's & 80's, the two decades of Golden Biking (for me),
smokey Japanese 2-strokes and Brit bikes held together with bailing wire and
a prayer.
TRADING WITH
ME....
I always try to give accurate descriptions of the items
listed, if a measurement is required it is in Imperial (UK) and Metric. As
many pictures as reasonably possible are used to give as clear a
representation as possible of the condition, colour and size of the item.
My overall policy is to list accurately, communicate
promptly, pack items properly, leave appropriate feedback.
WATCHING
& BIDDING....
I know how it is, you find an item you are interested in bidding for, add it
to your watched list, then with work, the partner or just life you forget to
place bid and miss out. Best advice I can give is to get your bid in early
for highest figure you are prepared to pay, that way you know it's done and
even if you are not the winner you could get a second chance offer from me
as I have duplicates for some of the listed items (not ALL so don't rely on
this!). There are of course sniping tools available which let you place your
bid in the last few seconds of the auction, as Ebay says "it's all part of
the Ebay experience".
COMMUNICATION/QUESTIONS....
I am constantly amazed by the low number of questions I
receive (my wife says it is because of my comprehensive descriptions), I
welcome any and all questions regarding the items, combined shipping or if I
have other items (not all of my stuff is on ebay at any one time).
Please, don't be shy to ask questions, I will respond within
24 hours.
WINNING
BIDDERS....
I will send an invoice within 12 hours, combining shipping for any multiple
wins. If winners are bidding on or watching other of my items I am happy to
wait and combine the whole lot, keeping the shipping cost as low as
possible.
PAYMENT....
I accept Paypal from all bidders, personal cheques (UK buyers/UK banks),
Postal Orders (UK bidders). I expect UK winners to pay within 7 days, rest
of the world should be able to make payment within 10 days. If you are going
to have a problem with this timescale let me know.
SHIPPING....
All UK winners will receive their item(s) via second class
post, first class post and or insurance is available...just ask and I will
amend the invoice accordingly.
Winning bidders from the rest of the world will receive their
item(s) via airmail, with custom labels completed and a return address.
My shipping charge includes all costs, packing materials, my
time and of course postage. I am always happy to combine shipping of
multiple won items in order to keep shipping costs down.
Most items will be sent in a new board backed envelope, bulky
items will be sent new or used padded envelopes.
I will post your item within four days of cleared funds.
I usually post three times a week, Monday, Thursday and
Saturday.
FEEDBACK....
I leave feedback when
the winning bidder has received the item(s) and leaves feedback for me, that
way I know they are satisfied with their purchase.
Please bare in mind I
do have a full time job to fit around Ebay!
