Scottish May Blossom in Full Bloom

I'm a freelance writer, working on novels, plays, poetry and non fiction, but I have had a lifelong passion for antique textiles particularly those with a Scottish or Irish provenance. The Scottish Home is an offshoot of my own creative content business, Wordarts. It consists of an informative blog where you will find all kinds of postings about real Scottish homes, from castles to cottages, with explorations of interiors and exteriors. We will be featuring seasonal visits to Scottish gardens (I'm passionate about garden history as well as textiles!) and - of course - there will be all kinds of interesting pieces about textiles and textile history. The blog is crammed with lovely images and interesting articles. My Ebay Shop is where you will find just what you need, to bring a little bit of Scotland into your home. Irish linen, often hand embroidered here in Scotland,  is a particular favourite with me and my customers but you will usually find a good selection of all kinds of textiles in the shop, alongside vintage accessories, and many other interesting one off pieces, usually with a Scottish provenance.

The Scottish Home - along with Wordarts - is based in a picturesque corner of South West Scotland.  And the Ebay name: Kasia Kossak? Well Kasia is the Polish form of Catherine, and Kossak was the surname of a favourite great uncle who was also the last in a long line of famous Polish artists. You can also find my husband Alan's artworks listed in my shop, as well as my own publications. Alan used to be one of Scotland's foremost woodcarvers, but latterly he has turned his attention to original artworks, also with a Scottish theme.   Meanwhile, if you want to know more about the history of whatever you buy from me, I intend to make it easier for you by including information in the Scottish Home blog, and on the website. I usually research the pieces I sell, wherever possible, and I intend to build up an archive of informative articles, so that  customers can find out more too.  If you love Scotland, and all things Scottish, this is the place for you.
