I am a Specialist in Education, teaching dyslexic children and children whose medical difficulties prevent them from attending full time education. Four years ago I discovered Iyengar Yoga. I was hooked from the very first lesson and quickly discovered the tremendous benefits that can be gained by practising regularly and have become a dedicated practitioner. I've had a back problem for most of my life, but Iyengar Yoga has changed all that and now I no longer suffer from back pain and I no longer have to seek treatment from my osteopath! My husband is a highly skilled joiner and initially he made me a pair of Yoga blocks for my practice. My Yoga teacher was very impressed and interested. Now, with her advice, enthusiasm and encouragement, my husband and I are attempting to bring Yoga props and other yoga related health products to our customers. The ancient yogi's used logs of wood, stones and ropes to help them practise asanas effectively. It was B.K.S. Iyengar who invented and developed props to allow asanas to be held easily and for longer without strain. Our products are made to standard dimensions, but we are happy to make custom items to your own dimensions at very little extra cost. Our object is to produce a gradually increasing range of hand-made, well designed, fully tested, quality built items to assist in the practise of Yoga and to contribute to the improvement and health of the body, mind and spirit. 'Health is the delicate balance in the harmony of the body, mind and spirit where physical disabilities and mental distractions have vanished. B.K.S. IYENGAR YOGA BLOCKS N PROPS The yoga prop will allow asanas to be held easily and for longer without strain, helping to stretch, strengthen, relax or improve the alignment of the body, whilst conserving energy. The props allow asanas to be practised in a relaxed way, balancing both body and mind both actively and passively. Yoga asanas with props are unique, in so far as this is the only form of exercise allowing both action and relaxation simutaneously. I am very approachable, so do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries or require custom built props made to your own dimensions and I will do my utmost to assist you.
