IAG on eBay specialises in Edwardian postcards of Ireland, vintage cigarette cards, hand coloured Victorian prints, limited edition sculptures and lithographs,collectables of Irish interest, pre 1960 fountain pens, antiquarian maps, newspapers from the 18th century and many other collecting themes.
The Irish Art Group owns three art galleries, a small publishing company, a framing operation, an online business and this eBay store. Its owners have been in business for over 20 years and you can find out more about them on their About Me Page.

Meet the Team

Hughes Galleries Ltd. has a small team of energetic and highly enthusiastic staff. They occupy multiple roles and travel widely.

Michael Hughes Managing Director Pauline Hughes Director
Michael is a trained teacher, a qualified social worker and an accredited therapist. He has been in business for over 20 years. He currently serves on the Council of the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce, the Northern Ireland Business Alliance / Higher Education Forum and other related bodies. He is a contributing editor to several trade publications and travels extensively. Pauline is also a trained teacher and a qualified social worker. She is the real manager of the business, exercising overall control of the day to day aspects of the operation. She is also the major point of access for artists.She is married to Michael. Darach is their son.
John Hamill Senior Partner Darach Hughes Company Secretary
John is the company enior Partner At 95 years of age, he continues to cast a fatherly eye over each member of the staff team and brings a lifetime experience to bear on many of the practicalities of the business. The Hamill Gallery is named for him. He occasionally threatens to retire. Darach, as Company Secretary, is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that CompaniesLegislation and other relevant legal constraints are adhered to. He also manages the Hamill Gallery in PortstewART. In his spare time, he runs (up to marathon distance) and, later this year, will be going ice-climbing in Scotland and running the bulls in Pamplona.
Marc Barbour Webmaster and I.T. Consultant Laurie Davies Head of Production
Marc holds a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a Master's degree in Computer Science and Applications. He joined the company on a summer placement as a first year undergraduate, winning the Shell Technologies' Enterprise Program (NI) Most Enterprising Student Award for 2001 and has been with us ever since. He looks after the website and all computerised systems. Laurie holds a degree in History but went into industry immediately upon graduation. A professional framer with 16 years experience, he heads up production at our workshops in the forest at Breen.
Niall McDonagh I.T.Assistant Megan Hallewell Marketing Assistant
Niall is currently studying for an I.T. qualification at the Causeway Institute of Further and Higher Education and works for us on a part time basis, maintaining and helping develop our I.T. systems. Megan is currently studying at a local High School and works for us on a part tme basis, helping develop our marketing and customer service programmes.
Bruce Caretaker of the Workshop The Leprechauns Credit Control Department
Bruce aka "Meatloaf" is not the Bat out of Hell but rather occupies the role of resident caretaker in our premises at Breen forest. He also keeps an eye on Laurie's pixies who do the framing overnight and leave the completed pieces on the workbenches. Attached image is actual size. Breen is taken from the Irish and means "The Palace of the Fairy Kind". The Fairy Kind ("na sidhe") are also known as the little people or leprechauns. The forest and therefore the gallery are under the protection of the Fairy Kind. Those who would contemplate defaulting on debts should consider themselves appropriately fore-warned.

The PortstewART Galleries occupy three separate premises in the charming seaside resort which give them their name. Situated 60 miles north of Belfast, they offer a combined range of some 500 original works of art alongside Ireland's largest stocks of paper antiques, printed collectibles and vintage fountain pens.

The Breen Gallery is situated in Breen Forest, the oldest oak forest in Ireland. It lies in the heart of Glenshesk, one of the historic Nine Glens of Antrim. The pre-historic Breen Standing Stone, pictured below, forms the logo of the Irish Art Group and is in the field next to our premises.

Breen is taken from the Irish and means "The Palace of the Fairy Kind". The Fairy Kind ("na sidhe") are also known as the little people or leprechauns. The forest and therefore the gallery are under the protection of the Fairy Kind. Those who would contemplate defaulting on debts should consider themselves appropriately fore-warned.

Facilities at Breen include a gallery, a trade showroom, a purpose built framing workshop and a suite of offices.
