Heritage Cameras Limited sells used photo equipment via eBay listings and our eBay Shop. The company has been trading since 2001, but the directors have over 35 years of photo retailing experience between them. We specialise in "classic" photo equipment, especially SLR cameras, lenses, flash units and accessories, and have built up a wealth of knowledge and experience over the years. We use fast, reliable delivery methods such as Special Delivery in the UK, and Royal Mail International Signed For outside the UK. Some low value items may be suitable for Royal Mail Second Class Recorded post in the UK, if you're in no hurry. All services include insurance, and require a signature on delivery. Comprehensive descriptions, high quality pictures
Our listings are some of the most comprehensive on eBay with a detailed description of the item itself, information about its features and operation, plus its mechanical, optical and/or cosmetic condition (see below for compatibility). Our items are carefully checked but as expected with used items there may be some with minor imperfections, which will be clearly described where appropriate.

The product pictures are taken by us and are of the actual item offered for sale, unless otherwise stated. The main exception is where we have more than one of the same item in the same condition, where the pictures and description will be representative of all of them. Selected listings will include photographs taken with the product, such as the one below from a manual focus macro lens on a digital SLR camera.

The compatibility section of each listing will include a comprehensive list of the items that we expect the product will work with. For example, lenses will have the compatible camera bodies listed, etc. Many older products still work well with modern cameras, so a lot of the excellent lenses and accessories from years gone by can be given a new lease of life on current digital cameras. Where possible we will have checked this ourselves on our own digital cameras, and the listing will include a picture of such a combination. Some products will fit and work but with some restrictions, so Pentax KA manual focus lenses work very well on Pentax digital SLR cameras, but of course without autofocus. Flash units from older systems can sometimes be used on newer cameras, with some restrictions such as lack of TTL flash control, etc.

If we are aware of any known compatibility problems between the item for sale and other products, we will indicate so clearly in the listing. For example, some early AF lenses aren't compatible with the latest cameras – especially independent types on Canon EOS bodies. Older flash units can have high trigger voltages which are not suitable for modern cameras, and we'll test this where necessary.

Finally, we'll try to include information about products which can successfully be adapted from one fitting to another. Adapters are widely available on eBay to fit lenses from one camera system onto bodies from another, and we'll indicate where this is likely to be possible, and often double check it ourselves.

We only charge the actual postage or shipping costs (including delivery confirmation and insurance), with no surcharges for packaging or handling.
