My Cable Does Not Display A Picture On Screen (RF/Aerial Cables) |

My Cartridge Does Not Load At All, Screen Is Blank |
|
If the cable is plugged into a splitter, try removing from the splitter and plugging straight into the TV/Monitor. |

Try pulling the cartridge out and blowing on the cartridge contacts |
|
If the cable has a pass-through adapter ensure that there are no cables attached. |
|
If possible check that other cartridges work to make sure it is not a console problem |
|
If the cable has a built in switchbox ensure that the switch is set to the cables primary use. |
|
Make sure that the cables are securely in the back of the console and that it is tuned in properly |
|
Check the TV/Monitor is set to the correct source/channel. |

Make sure that the cartridge is the correct region for your console as most consoles have region lockout (uk and Europe standard is PAL) |

If you’re TV has a shared source channel unplug all other cables (IE. Scart 2 may also be set to receive signal from S/Video/Composite(RCA/Phono) |

If using RF ensures that you have tuned your TV in correctly, consoles can vary, you may have to tune 2 different channels for two different Super Nintendo consoles. |

Check other cartridges to ensure that there is not a fault with the console |

Check contacts on game cartridge, if excessively dirty try cleaning with alcohol/electrical contact cleaner |

If you are using a Dreamcast VGA cable, ensure that the game you are using is VGA compatible |

Try blowing on the cartridge contacts as this adds moisture to it helping it to make a better connection |

If you are using a Dreamcast RGB cable try a different game, some Japanese Capcom games are not RGB compatible (Street Fighter Zero 3 & Gigawing are two examples) |

Check that other cartridges work fine to be sure that it is not a consol problem |

Check that your disc is the correct region for your console (UK standard is PAL) |

If the cable has a built in switchbox ensure that the switch is set to the cables primary use |

Check that other games are working fine in your system |

If the picture is black & white it could be that you TV is not 60Hz compatible, if your using RF on an Import console you will need an RGB or Composite cable. |

It could be caused by scratches on the disc (please contact the seller of your item) |

Check the bottom of the disc, ensure that you do not have any finger prints or dirt on the disc, if so wipe clean with a soft, non textured cloth |

Make sure that nothing is stuck in the connecter on the console or on the controller |
|
If your disc freezes at random points it could be due to a weak laser in your system please check that your other games play fine |
|
If you are using a Super Nintendo the controllers are region locked so make sure you have the right controller for your console |
|
|
|
Check the cable for excessive cuts, bends etc |

Console Problems |
|
Ensure that you have the correct controller for your console, If it has the same connecter it does not mean that it will work |

My Console Does Not Power Up |
|
|
|
Make sure that you are using the correct cable for your system and that it is the correct voltage |

My Accessory Works Sometimes, Sometimes Not |
|
Ensure that it is switched on at the wall |
|
Check that your other joypads work correctly, if you have memory card problems check cartridge fault section |
|
There may be a master power switch on the back of the console make sure that it is set to on |
|
For Dreamcast joypads, remove any VMU or Rumble packs and try again |
|
If you power cable is connected to a multi socket gang try plugging into another socket or straight into the wall, the power adapter can sometimes draw too much power. |
|
Check cable to ensure no break in cable is present or excessive bending or crushing of cable |
|
If using an imported console ensure you are using a step-down adapter if stated that one is required in the auction, if in doubt check the stick on the base, if it reads 110v you NEED a step down converter, also check that the converter is set to supply 110v from 220-240v |

Ensure that you have plugged the accessory in firmly & correctly |
|
If using a step-down adapter ensure that it is capable of supplying adequate watts to the system, Playstation 2 console require a significantly more powerful adapter than a Super Famicom. |

If you are using a light gun you will not be able to fire if you are using a LCD, Plasma or a 100HZ TV as light guns need a 60HZ colour tube to function |

If the wires are exposed where it leaves the pad make sure that none of them are cut |

If the joypad seems to be stuck in one direction, power off console & turn on again ensuring that the analogue stick is centred when doing so. |

Ensure that none of the buttons on the controller are stuck down |

Make sure that the connector is fully inserted into the system |

Check controller to ensure that there are no 'turbo'/'autofire' switches that maybe switched on, normally all switches to the left is OFF. Competition Pro controllers often have a 'turbo' button for 'Start' on the bottom of the controller, ensure that this is set to off. |
