Golden Age of Motoring Shop

The Golden Age of Motoring is devoted to the hobby of collecting scale models of road vehicles. The main focus is on models where the original vehicle was made before 1970 - hence the name. It was founded by Peter Atkinson who is a lifelong collector and restorer.

The Golden Age of Motoring began with the Golden Age of Motoring Museum web site which displays models of vehicles made before 1970. The philosphy of this display is that models are more interesting to look at in groups and that it is best to mix contemporary models - like Dinky and Corgi - with more recent collector's models. We believe that this approach makes for a more interesting experience for the visitor to the site.

From the Museum was developed the idea of the eBay shop. The aims of the shop are to:

• provide an interesting experience for the visitor who just wants to browse through the stock
• supply a variety of high quality models to collectors at reasonable prices
• supply classic models for restoration with a full and accurate description so that the restorer knows exactly what he or she is taking on
• provide an excellent standard of service to our customers
• send purchases to our customers promptly and well packed
