Galloway & Porter was founded in 1902. We are a Bookshop in Cambridge, UK. The Books we sell are publisher's returns & they may have some minor cover damage, however most are in a nearly perfect condition. Orders are usually processed within 2 days & are sent out by 1st class post. Tel:01223 367876

Galloway & Porter


Galloway & Porter was established in 1902, by Sidney Galloway and Charles Porter.

Sidney Galloway left the business shortly afterwards due to his wifes ill health and set up a separate company, Galloway's Bookshop in Aberystwyth.

Galloway & Porter carried on in Cambridge without him and is now run by the 3rd generation of the Porter family.

Galloway & Porter has in the past traded in new books, office supplies, and journal subscriptions, but now concentrates entirely on reduced, remainder and second-hand books. Selling to the general public and to the trade.

Galloway & Porter operates a city centre shop in Cambridge where it sells a numerous selection of exceptionally low priced books.
