Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my Ebay site. Maybe this will help you understand why I love putting my fairies up for auction at Ebay! Fairies are joyous creatures, and to me, they signify a connection to the magical realms.

I pick every single fairy, and fairy related item that I sell in Fairy Magyk as if each one is for me personally. I enjoy giving people a little bit of magyk, and knowing they will enjoy their purchases makes me feel good about the fairies I do select to sell.
I do believe that seeing the gorgeous details and intricate work that goes into so many of the paintings and statues I've seen, can inspire feelings that makes one wish that fairies were real. Fairies have a way of putting a smile on your face. I get such pleasure looking at the works of fairy artists, and inspiration to do my own sketches and paintings. It brings escapism from the every day bad news that's plastered in our TV news and papers. Fantasy is a nice place to visit from time to time. Some people like dragons, some people like unicorns. Does it matter what they believe in or hope for if it brings to them a sense of magic in their lives?

I want ebaying to be a pleasant experience for us all.

Feedback is a subject that I think should be discussed. I really do my best to give you, my customers the quality you deserve when you make a purchase at Fairy Magyk. Sometimes things don't always go the way they're expected. Your package may arrive late. Before you think, "Kate sent this out late", please look at the stamp. The date is on the postage. You'll see your item was shipped immediately and that the delay is due to the post office. Before unfair feedback is left for slow delivery, look at the time stamp..please.

Another problem may be the wings came off of your Fairy or Angel. That happens. I'd give my eye teeth for that not to happen, but until we invent a system that prevents jostling and throwing about boxes from the post office to bumpy airplanes, bumpy roads and uncushioned post trucks, there will be some breakages. I know I package everything very well and take the utmost care with your purchases, and if and when something does go wrong, I can assure you I WILL sort things to my customer's satisfaction.

Communication...that IS so important to me. I always reply to questions. Even if the question is listed on the seller's FAQ and someone still needs to ask, I will respond. But communication is a 2 way street. Customers really need to be aware of the sellers TERMS & CONDITIONS which are listed on their listings. Always ask your seller before you make any purchase if you're unsure of anything.

I am not at my computer 24/7 and if I am going to be away for any given length of time, a notice appears on all listings that the seller will be away and for how long.

Feedback is there for the benefit of us all, buyers as well as sellers and by being fair and sensible in the feedback we leave for our shopping experiences we may be helping others to make fair decisions in their future purchases or sales.

Just a word on rating the postage stars..Your seller should not be penalized on the point system if Royal Mail has had a work stoppage due to a strike or backlog of post. Please be fair when rating your sellers feedback on postage. If your seller has posted your item(s) in a reasonable time, not made a huge profit on postage cost and done everything in their power to find your parcel should it get 'lost', please don't neg or neutral your seller for something that is beyond their control.

I do my absolute best to ensure your items are packaged safe and securely and that I post items as soon as they are paid for. (except Weekends and Holidays of course) Your ebay experience with Fairy Magyk should be a smooth and relaxing time of shopping.

IF ever you aren't 100% happy with your purchase, just return it to me within 7 days for a refund. If by some chance your item arrives damaged, I'll be more than happy to refund the full cost to you when you return it and/or send me photographs of the damaged item(s) via email or snail mail.

Customer service is important, and I do care about delivering good service because I'm also a BUYER on Ebay.

I'd like to say a few more words about postage.

I follow the tables set by Royal Mail. I look at the zones and area codes, weigh the statues, and look up the cost of posting. I don't guess at the costs, I do the maths. I size the boxes to make sure that the Post Office will allow them (especially for International Post). What all of that means is, I know the weights of each and every item that I sell and what the cost will be for each item. (Inclusive of the added weight of the outer box, paper,bubble wrap and tape) It all adds to the weight.

I'm not one of the sellers who charge P&P that covers my hydro,gas and grocery bill.*chuckles* I follow the Royal Mail Post Office rules for weights and box sizes and base my P&P on each item before I wrap them. As I check my products to list them, they get weighed so that I can be as near to precise cost as possible. What my customer is paying for is genuine postage . I pay for the cost of the parcels to be sent via 1st Class/Recorded and I have no hidden fees in the postage. Chances are, when you pay your postage at Fairy Magyk, you are paying less than what it actually costs to send your item(s).

Most sellers who gouge the customers are doing themselves and ebays reputation a great diservice. My answer to the overpricing of post is DON'T BUY from sellers who ask £10.00 postage for a lightweight item. Once a bid is placed that means you have to pay what the seller's asking for postage.

When I charge postage, I'm not making money from it at all. IF I were charging £5.00 for a UK delivery of an item that weighed 360g, THEN I'd be making money. So please, in all fairness, do not ask me to cut some slack in postage.

When a bid is made, or you purchase a Buy it Now item, you are entering into a contract to pay my asking fees on postage. I charge what I do so that your purchases will be sent 1st Class, signed for and recorded. By using that method of post, I'm protected as well as you, should your item go missing in the post, then the parcel can be tracked.

Ebay can be a pleasant experience if you read through your sellers listings completely, learn their Terms and Conditions before you bid, ask questions before you bid. Remember once a bid is entered you are entering into a contract with your seller and you don't want to be hit with any surprises because you didn't read the entire listing.

One very important thing you, as a buyer should be aware of..Be cautious if you buy from a seller who states that they are not responsible for lost post. YES THEY ARE! If your parcel goes missing, your seller must do all they can to locate the missing post and/or issue a full refund or send a replacement. Royal Mail accepts lost post claims 15 days after the item has been posted. Royal Mail will usually ask that the buyer fills out a form claiming they have not recieved their post and then an investigation begins as to the whys and where's that the item has gone missing. An excellent reason why I use 1st Class trackable/Signed for post!

The only time a buyer should 'look' for their recorded post is if a card has been left by the Postie saying they tried to deliver but no one was in.
