DVD Formats
There are two world standards for DVD video: PAL and NTSC. These standards are incompatible, although some recent DVD players will play multiple formats.

Please check your DVD player's manual or contact the manufacturer to confirm that PAL or NTSC media will play on your player.

All UK standard DVD players will play region 2 discs.
All UK bought multi-region players will play all region discs in PAL and NTSC formats.
All USA standard DVD players will play region 1 discs.
All USA bought multi-region players will play all region discs in NTSC format and possibly PAL format, again CHECK YOUR MANUAL before buying please.


DVD Regions

DVDs have the ability to encode an option which specifies which regions in the world the discs can be played. The movie studios have collectively divided the planet earth into zones, which corresponds to their distribution system.

DVD Video Encoding - are you PAL or NTSC?

PAL - Phase Alternating Line. Used in:

Our preferred payment method is BACS Direct Bank Transfer.
We also accept the following in this order of preference:
Postal Order, crossed or uncrossed
Cheque
PayPal

Under no circumstances do we allow collection in person as the warehouse is not insured for general public access.


Refund Policy

We are happy to issue a refund (including 2nd class postage) or replacement for any DVD that we send and has arrived in a "not as described condition" or has been incorrectly described. (In accordance with Trading Standard's Laws). We do require the DVD to be returned before a refund or replacement is issued.
We will not refund any monies on sealed DVDs that have been opened (unwrapped) due to the high risk of piracy. Nor will we refund any monies if a DVD is not compatible with your player for whatever reason.

Previously viewed DVDs
Although the DVDs are supplied in excellent condition the cases, being second-hand, may show some signs of wear and tear.

Rental DVDs are just that ... rental!! They have seen usage and even though the discs will play okay they may show some very light scratches etc. (We do not sell damaged discs!). The cases may not be in top condition, they may be slightly worn and there may be light scuffmarks or labels removed etc. Some inserts may be missing.

Security
Every DVD that we sell is marked with a security logo, in 2 places, that is invisible to the naked eye. This has become necessary due to the number of fraudulent claims for "scratched DVDs", "wrong region DVD" etc. The disc and case will bear either our logo or the last 4 digits of the auction number.
This serves two purposes: 1, it ensures that we have actually checked the DVD title and condition before sale & 2, if a claim is instigated we know that it is our DVD that has been returned and not some faulty disc from a buyer trying to improve his collection (Yes it has happened!!). Sealed DVDs are marked in a different manner.

Movies are often released with differing sleeves and it is beyond our capability to copy each and every one, so we may, occasionally, use an image for illustrative purposes only. If you need a scan of the actual item for sale please ask.

All requests for a refund, for any item, must be made within 5 days of receipt of the goods. The complete item must be returned within 7 working days of receipt and it must be returned with its original packaging.
The bid price will then be refunded or the item replaced.
NOTE Shipping fees are only reimbursed where we are at fault in supplying the goods.

Non-DVD items are only refunded if they are returned in unopened, original OEM packaging. A restocking fee of 10% will apply for all items returned due to buyer remorse.


Shipping Discounts

Shipping discounts for multiple purchases apply to small case DVDs only (one disc and two disc cases) and only for items bought within 6 days of each other.

For the discount to apply either:

A) Wait for us to send an invoice showing the discount, or
B) Apply the discount yourself on the PayPal payment page.

The shipping fees for multiple box set purchases will be combined (i.e. added together) as they represent the actual shipping cost.

All items with "free" shipping (P&P) are sent 2nd class. We will send you a new invoice if an upgraded service is required e.g. Recorded Delivery.

We are always happy to leave feedback!

If you decide to score us at less than 5 for any section then please let us know why. We cannot improve if we don't know what we are doing wrong!

Please consider the following points before leaving feedback on eBay’s new scoring system.

Item As Described
We strive to accurately describe the item for sale and we use images as appropriate. If you think our description is flawed the please let us know!

Communication
We will send an invoice no later than 12 hours after the auction close.
We will e-mail you when we have passed the item to Dispatch (this does not mean that the item is actually in the mail)

Please, please check your mail spam settings and mailbox size limits before marking us down for poor communication.

Dispatch Time We take no more than one day to get your item checked, packaged and in the mail during the week (2-3 days at a weekend).
Although delivery time is NOT part of this feedback score please bear the following in mind:
It is you, the buyer, who decides which delivery service to use.
Your method of payment also affects delivery times:

  • eCheques – 10 days to appear in our PayPal account
  • Cheques – 3 working days to clear for low feedback ebayers
  • Bank Transfer – 3 days, longer if you do not e-mail us a copy of the payment slip or a screen dump of the electronic payment page

Postage and Packaging Charges
Please remember that this is for packaging and handling as well as the actual postage cost. We always supply single DVDs in new and unused packaging. (Although being conscious of the environment we will re-use cardboard boxes to ship DVD collections). We use laser printed labels on the packaging and 9 times out of 10 we are required to edit the buyer’s address as they have used poor spelling, capitalisation, incorrect postcodes etc etc.
We take your items to the Post Office daily.
