Dark Horse Comics was founded in 1986 by Mike Richardson as an alternative to the "mainstream" superhero comics being published by the other, larger comic book companies. Dark Horse Presents was and still is Dark Horse's flagship title, offering a safe haven for creators whose vision didn't always jibe with the "mainstream" ideas of what consituted great comics.
Dark Horse Comics is the home of such popular titles as Sin City,Hellboy,Concrete,Madman and many, many more comics that are constantly redefining the comic book industry.
Dark Horse's commitment to creator's rights was the building block of our success in the 80s and 90s and will see us well into the 21st century!
