I am a writer, senior lecturer in Fashion and Visual Culture and, also, an ebayer. I have written for fashion magazines, academic journals, and also publications on Dr Who, Stephen King, David Bowie (my heroes, for want of a better description). I won the journalism award at London Fashion Week in 1998 my graduation year. All of which makes for an odd combination ... possibly. But when you think about it, all these activities bring me into close contact with books, memorabilia and cultural artefacts. |

In the past, I have built up collections only to sell them all too cheaply, alas to high street vendors. What ebay allows me to do is to keep my collection in constant flow that way, my uying habitnever gets too big and I get to enjoy the life-cycle of each piece, from purchase to sale. I guess, patient reader, what I trying to impress upon you, but taking the scenic route, is that I am not here just to sell, sell, sell... but to enjoy the fuller ride. I am ready, if you are.
