regarding our opening hours
We are open from 9 to
5 every weekday (except Bank Holidays). If you make a buy it now purchase or
email us with an enquiry during these hours, we will reply as quickly as possible
(parcel packing allowing!).
Any queries or sales
made outside working hours (including Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays)
will be handled on the next working day. We usually have a very full inbox on
a Monday morning, so please bear with us, as it can take quite a while for us
to get through all the messages!
Email can be a fickle
thing, so if you have bought something and haven't heard from us, and based
on our opening hours you think you should have done, please do not hesitate
to email us and let us know.

Payment by bank transfer is also
accepted. Bear in mind that until UK banks see the light and update their policies,
payments by this method can take up to 5 working days to arrive in our account
- remember, just because a cheque or transfer has been debited from your account,
it doesn't mean it's arrived in ours, as banks like to play with their customers'
money for a few days before they give it back! It's also possible to pay cash
or cheques over the counter - cheques paid this way will have to clear as usual,
but cash is credited to us immediately.

Non-Payment
I'm afraid I'm getting
quite a lot of non-paying bidders, and we really can't continue to let these
go undealt-with any longer - consequently, if we do not hear from you or receive
payment within 7 days of your purchase, we will have no choice but to report
you as a non-paying bidder and relist the item.
Postage
and handling
Postage and handling charges are
very carefully worked out to be fair and are clearly listed in the item description.
We do not make any money on the p&h - the amount quoted simply covers
the expense of posting and handling the item. If the p&h on an item seems
high, then I'm afraid it's simply because it's expensive to post and handle!
Here's how we work it out:- exact
cost of postage for item (from 28p - £14.10) + cost of Jiffy bag/cardboard
box (from 12p - £3) + a nominal amount of 20p to cover the cost of running
a franking machine and having our post collected (this costs us several hundred
pounds a year, but without it, we just wouldn't be able to function efficiently
- it's not really feasible to lug two or three dozen parcels to the Post Office
every day and have them all weighed and stamped).
The handling fee portion is worked
out using a complicated formula based on a small percentage of the total cost
of the item and postage.

In a very few cases where we have
to find alternative despatch methods, the item description will advise you to
contact us for the correct carriage before placing your order. This mainly
applies to customers located offshore (eg Isle of Wight), in Northern Ireland
or the north of Scotland who are buying very heavy lots, as our regular courier
charges an arm and a leg for delivery to these areas.
Most of my items will be sent by
Royal Mail (a few heavier items are sent by courier service). Please bear in mind that it's not our fault if something gets lost in the post, but we will always attempt
to claim compensation from the Royal Mail on your behalf of course. Please note:
the Royal Mail will not begin an investigation into a missing parcel until two
weeks after the date of posting, so I can't take any action until the two weeks have passed.
A
Many of our items are covered by
a return-to-base warranty in the unfortunate event that they should go wrong
- details are given in the individual item descriptions. If you think there
may be a fault with your item, please contact us before sending it back - if
we receive an item back and there is no fault, you will be liable for the return
postage costs.
All sales are final, and we do not
accept goods which are returned because you have changed your mind. If you return
goods without permission, you will have the choice of having the goods returned
to you at your own expense or receiving a refund for the item minus a £10
administration fee. Buyers who return goods without permission will also be
reported to eBay.
