Hi! We are Dave & Kathy Lewis and together we run Lewis Nostalgia from our Victorian home in Harrogate, N Yorkshire, UK.
Dave has been a collector for many years - most of his life really. He's collected all sorts of things - the common factor being that they all have nostalgic interest. They include bottles, packaging, advertising, labels, posters, magazines, magazine ads, billheads, postcards etc. etc.
In the last few years this hobby has evolved into more of a business in which I have become involved to try & get him organised!
He has many, many things still to be listed - I don't think he knows exactly what he's got! So it's worth having a look now & again to see what's new.
It's a way of life that we both really enjoy - working together from home - and it fits in well with family life and our two children who are now both teenagers.
The other string to our bow is Avenue Antique Fireplaces. This has been up & running since 1982. It began when renovating our house and wanting to put back original features.
When looking for fireplaces, we found that other people wanted them too and the business just grew and grew. We source the fireplaces and restore them and over the last twenty four years have had many satisfied customers locally, around the UK and also in other countries. We offer a full fitting service and can organise delivery.
This too is based at our home with the fireplaces on display in an extended garage/showroom behind the house. We usually have about 40 - 50 fireplaces in stock.
To have a look at the fires, please follow the link below to our website. We are always happy for people to call in person.
