Beckfield Nurseries is a family run business that has been trading in the pretty Lincolnshire village of Brant Broughton for nearly 40 years. It runs alongside the family farm and we grow a large percentage of all the plants that we sell. The rest we source from local plant auctions and growers. We aim to provide the ebay gardener with all the quality bulbs, corms, seeds, bare-root crowns and plant-stock they require of both the regular and the more unusual varieties at a competitive and realistic price. Visitors to our nursery and farm shop also find a large range of more mature and bigger plants, shrubs and trees as well as compost, grobags and bark chippings. Alongside these items we also sell a full range of fresh fruit and vegetables, locally produced honey and sundries for the garden.
As a result of requests from our ebay customers we have been able to tailor and increase our items for sale on-line. This is one of the reasons that we have such a wide variety of pot types and sizes available - check out the dimensions in the easy to compare chart on our ebay shop http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Beckfield-Nurseries/Plant-Pot-Sizes.html.
We are always happy for 'new challenges' so don't be afraid to ask. You can be assured of an honest answer.
We are now in our fifth year of ebaying and have learnt lots over our time trading on ebay. Packaging and postage have been a very big part of the learning curve and we still feel passionately that you should get any order that you place as quickly as humanly possible whilst keeping the costs as low as we can. This is why we use a Next Day Courier Service for our larger, heavier orders whilst still sending most other orders out by Royal Mail. Almost without exception we have been very satisfied with the service we and our customers have received from the Royal Mail so will continue to use them. Our bulbs, corms and bare root stock are sent out in padded jiffy envelopes or boxes, the seeds in C5 size envelopes and the plug plants are packed in special plastic containers made for the job. The plant pots are packed in recycled paper, bubble wrap and/or cardboard boxes to ensure that they reach their destination in good condition. If multiple items are purchased at the same time contact us before paying as we may be able to make a reduction on the postal cost. If you live locally you could even collect your purchase. We are open on Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 10am until 5pm.
The nursery is situated in Brant Broughton and the entrance is adjacent to the north side of the Fire Station which is the first building you come to if entering the village from the A17.
