Hello and welcome to my "about me" page.

Well finally, Iv'e been able to do something with it. For a while I was unable to view this page, so I was loathe to try and build it.

My Name is Roman Szablowski. I paint, draw, sculpt, build cars, and invent things. I am an artist and a design engineer and work variously on mechanical, structural and architectural projects. But hey! that's boring (except building cars and bikes...and driving them!).

People don't seem to think so, but I firmly believe there is a very strong link between art and engineering. Cars, bridges, buildings are accessible examples. Also, In my opinion, if an artist wants to realistically represent an object he needs to experience a sort of "Zen" like empathy with it. It's structure has to be right for it to look right. That structure is represented by outline, but more importantly by light and shade. This is my belief.

Did I go to art college? No. But I had a place and never took it up. Bad move looking back. But here we are and I'm doing what I like. Creating Art, for me is the most lovely natural thing. As I draw I am closest to myself and I do it for myself. I really am at peace as I do it. Sounds silly but many artists will tell you the same.

It's taking a while but it will gain speed. Those subjects I mention in my shop will all be catered for. As Iv'e said, It has to spin my wheels before I will paint it and put it in my shop. So if you buy anything from Boss-Arts, you are buying a small part of me. Thank you if you do, and thank you if you don't, but just look. Thanks.

PS. About that picture. It's the best of a bad bunch. Trust me. Tell me a good joke and I'll laugh you to sleep. Ask me to smile at a camera and I can't. My face turns to peanut butter or something.
