Who Am I? My name's Charles. I make my living as a silhouette artist, and I'm known as one of the best. I collect old silhouettes (and books about them), and I manage a large web-site concerning anything to do with silhouettes! If you share my interest in this ancient art, perhaps you ought to have one of mine? |

Silhouettes come in pairs Silhouettes were often cut in pairs, one facing right, the other left. If you have such a pair, and wish to sell them, you might be tempted to split them up, thinking to get a better price that way, or because somebody wants to buy the lady, not the man. STOP! Think a little! Who are we to break them up? Perhaps they were man and wife, perhaps not. Perhaps they were secret lovers, fleeing the eyes of society, and yet immortalizing their love in a pair of silhouettes. Perhaps the silhouettes are all that remain of their brief happiness, gazing at each other forever more. Don't do it! Sell them as a pair! Once split, they can never be reunited! |

Where Am I? I live in Emmer Green, known as "the lungs of Reading" in Berkshire. It's on hill with a great view of the town, and we can hear the beat from Reading Festival each year |
