Welcome Greetings to all who visit. This page is here to give you a brief introduction to me - Jim McDowall -and tell you a little about my eBay activities. I live in Crosby, just north of Liverpool. I was an IT lecturer (now retired) and am into wargaming (and assorted militaria) to the extent of it being an obsession. I regularly play wargames from all periods, ranging from Ancients to post-modern and have been a member of the Society of Ancients for years. I also collect music, particularly vinyl LPs from the 60's and 70's - especially folk and blues; including such people as Harry Boardman, Ewan MacColl, Hamish Imlach, Phil Ochs, Spider John Koerner, Leadbelly, Bukka White, Lightnin Hopkins, Sonny Terry, etc. I've been an eBay member since Saturday, 14 Jul, 2001 . |

My eBay Activities I am primarily a buyer on eBay but I do also venture into selling from time to time! My main areas of interest are militaria (especially swords, bayonets and reproduction guns), toy soldiers and vinyl records. I collect 15mm and 25mm wargames figures and 54mm Timpo and Britains Wild West figures. My main focus is on ancients and medieval as I play a lot of DBA and Tactica. My friends and I also play virtually all other periods and a wide variety of rulesets. This, coupled with a lack of willpower, means that I am likely to bid for anything even slightly relevant and also explains why I've got no room to move at home! I have found eBay to be a good source of ready made armies to supplement those I paint myself. I'm currently selling the following items:
